I wonder if this means we think AD is a 5, or do we have a lot of faith in Jason Smith as a 5?

Can we find a decent C with the money we'd have left? how much would we have left?

Anthony Davis? Or maybe Jason Smith? Regardless Davis and Anderson will be our front court for more than half (24+) the game.

That's 100% true. Reddick is not finishing in traffic half as much as Evans. I get what the stats indicate, but if you're implying that JJ is a better or even on par with Evans finishing that's just insane.

I think people keep missing this point. The dude is older than an elf, he has more money than he knows what to do with and he wants to see this team WIN NOW! I think he really doesn't care if he has to pay $10-15 million in luxury tax money.

I survived Katrina, but nothing I owned did.

Doesn't Jrue Holiday shoot something like 48% from 3 when he is off the ball? Add that to Ryan Anderson who is a great 3 point shooter. And as an aside, EJ shot 37.5% from 3 over his first 3 years in the league. It's only when he got here and injured his knee that his % dropped 25% and 32%. With a full off season of shooting, I fully expect him to be in that 35-40% range. So, that's 3 floor spacers to pair with Evans, plus Anthony Davis has range out to 18 feet.

maybe dell has been pumping AD with growth hormones and he comes into next season at 7ft 240?

  11. #1036
Evans is NOT a sf, he is 6'6.
How will he guard Durant (6'9), Gallo (6'9) or Batum (6'8) ?

If he start at SF, it's only because nobody want Gordon.. Who would want a max contract with so much injurys ? Hopefully he will be healthy for 20 games, and it will be easier for Dell to trade him...

I wonder how Golden State managed playing Curry, Thompson, and Jack together going by your logic.

Do you consider Iggy a SF? And 2 inches isn't towering.

Bill Simmons says he sees Evans as a 6th man off the bench who takes over a offense for 6 minutes a half . No mention of Pelicans.

For crying out loud. This obsession with height is getting to unheard of heights.

Aminu does a crap job guarding durant and he's almost 6'9". There's more to playing D than just size.

My concern - Holliday, Gordon, and Evans (as well as Austin Rivers, when he comes around) are all guys that seem to score after dribbling around quite a lot. I'm not saying it can't work, but a few of that trio will need to take on different roles than they've been accustomed to throughout their careers.

  21. #1046
Honestly, if Lopez is the odd man out, I'd expect Anderson to start. If this is the case, it makes a lot of sense for Evans to be the 6th man. He'll get to be the ball handler and 1st option off the bench. He'll get to play Tyreke ball without being forced to manage his game the way he's been forced to in Sacramento. He'll be in a 3 guard lineup at the end of games along with Gordon, Holiday, Davis, and Anderson.

Owner Vivek Ranadive, general manager Pete D'Alessandro and coach Michael Malone are expected to take part in the meeting, and a person with knowledge of the Kings' thinking said they are considering matching the offer if he agrees to sign it.

It sounds like they're hoping for a S&T. I don't believe they want him for 10+ a year with McLemore on the team. The only way I can see it happening is if they move him back to PG. What are the odds of that?
