His AAU teammate, D. Rose, would love to have him in Chicago. And that team only needs Gordon to be healthy in Playoffs. They can limit his minutes and get him right during regular season. Plus the have Butler and drafted Snell, so they can trade Deng in the last year of his contract and fit Gordon's salary.

I think Cleveland would give up Karasev or a 2nd round pick easily for Deng.

Boom- 3 way trade that makes sense for everyone and just created $14m in cap space for Pelicans.

Martin was very efficient last season and provides the spacing we need for Jrue and AD.

Move Gordon to a team with cap space, sign Martin and Iggy, and I am good to go
Evans and Iggy both are possibilities if you trade Gordon. Or you could go Evans and Dunlevey, Webster, or Copeland, and still have change less for depth or Center.

I could see the benefit of having both. I think if Evans has indeed improved his jumper I'd rather his youth, explosiveness, and defense a little more than Martin.

I like 'Reke's ability to get to the rim and create for himself and others. If we were to keep Gordon we'd have 3 guys in the starting lineup that can create for themselves AND run an effective P/R. We need one more shooter though. Regardless of who we sign (Reke or Martin) we'll need one more SF, and I hope we go after a shooter.
I agree with concerns about Matin's defense, but in my scenario, you have Jrue and Iggy flanking him, meaning you can hide Martin on the teams worst offensive player

Do you think we could unload Gordon's contract to make that happen (Iggy and Martin)? I'm thinking Denver will max Iggy and bring him back.

I mean, I can definitely see why we would be interested. Throw in the attitude and knee problem, and it's pretty much a no brainer. I just don't know what they are going to do with Gordon.
    Excellent Post

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I just don't like the idea of signing two guys that will be 30 and 31 before next year's all-star break /: One is enough, we don't need to go in total win now mode. I like the idea of signing Evans and having him grow with our core. There's still some upside to him. With Martin, we know what we're going to get. Problem is, Evans and Iggy is a horrible fit. Maybe Chicago is willing to do EJ for Deng and I can be happy with an Evans signing.

Or we could just sign Iggy and just about call it an offseason and everyone's happy.

I forgot where I seen this suggested but would a 3 team trade with gordon to indy, tyreke to here, and granger to sactown be the best move for all teams? I feel like everyone in that deal would get what they want and then pelicans could chase iggy.

Wouldn't it be Gordon you're worried about since he shoots the lowest % out of the 3?

No one is safe on the Fastbreak against him. He has some pretty good finishing ability.

Why would Kings want an injured and aging Granger?

Just off the top of my head his professionalism and leadership. The Kings need both of those qualities far more than they need basketball talent.

Just wondering, how do we know they're meeting? I haven't seen anyone report it besides us. Are the national media just slow on it this morning?

I only want Reke here if he's replacing Gordon.

He's expiring anyways they could see if he has any left in the tank. We could also send them vasquez if need be since he wouldnt have much a role here anymore.
