    I agree.

Let's be honest, in this era of the NBA, you can count the number of "dominant" centers on one hand. I think AD is one of those with potential to eventually BECOME that if the Pels move him there. Or, I could just as quickly see Robinson being a servicable one at worst.

Houston isn't trading him due to dissatisfaction with him. They feel Dwight Howard is that 10+ knockout who will surely score you "cool points" when you take her to the prom; whereas Robinson is the blooming girl who eventually MIGHT become that, but now is in the "cute" phase.

Point being, I don't think Houston trades him unless they have belief with authority that there's a high chance Howard signs with them.

I have no explanation for what the hell Sacramento was thinking when they traded him, but I won't use Houston looking to move him as an indication of his abilities.

It's funny because outside of winning the #1 pick last year Robinson was the guy I wanted for his hustle and attitude. The prospect of having both of them is awesome
    Wherehappens.

^I don't really see Robinson working as a Center. He was actually considered a bit undersized as a PF. But if the staff believes that Davis will be groomed as a Center, and they really liked Robinson when they worked him out before the draft, then adding him could be an interesting option for sure. I think Lopez could be the guy moved if Robinson was added. I think Monty sees Smith as a key piece to the core moving forward.

    Davis/ Smith
    Robison/ Anderson (or vice-versa)

--would be a nice front court core moving forward. But then I again, I like what Lopez brings too; lol.

Uniting Davis and Robinson could be like a 2012 front court version of LeBron and Wade (drafted #1 and #5); hah.

Robinson ended the season as the Rockets 4th string PF. He has a long way to go before he makes an impact. He's pretty bad right now.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

If I'm Orlando, I'm begging Houston right now. They can give Etuwan Moore straight up and call it a day.

Damn. That team would look bright.

I feel like I'm in crazy town whenever I come to this place nowadays.

TR doesn't have big upside. At all. That was his knock...that he was a mostly developed player.

And he'd be going to his 3rd team in one year. Think about that. Let it sink in. Obviously, that should send alarm bells blaring on a top 5 pick.

AND you're helping a division team get one of the best bigs in the game to take on a guy that has shown nothing.

AND he's a terrible pair with Davis. Just terrible. I mean...come on.

Yeah, makes no sense for the Pels to acquire him.

Its not a good sign when another rookie PF drafted 13 spots lower and younger is actually ahead of him on the depth chart. He's a scrub.

I would take Thomas Robinson... If nothing else as a trade chip to acquire further assets.

So you guys are saying you wouldn't drop Lance Thomas or Brian Roberts in a heart beat to make room for him? We're going to have roster spots available with out releasing or trading anyone. He would be cheap, talented dept.

We will have minutes for a guy like that, even with A.D., Ryno and J-Smooth, who will be playing minutes at center, especially if we trade Robin Lopez.

Sacramento took him just to take him, he goes there, another bad team with no structure or method to their madness, a coach on the hot seat. So even though highly drafted, they have no time to develop him.

Bigs need patience, minutes and proper coaching to develop, they need to be worked with. They rely on other players to get them involved, to feed them and use them the right way.

Again, he went to the Kings, with Cousins and Thompson already in the front court, and a bunch of selfish, shoot first guards, it was never going to work with the Kings.

Houston, traded when he was traded, he was never going to get any playing time, they already had Terrence Jones who was getting any burn, Houston turned into a win now team. Another bad fit.

This could be a big get for us, he adds another talented athlete to the roster for now, he will get the coaching and the minutes to develop and he could become a valuable bench guy or a quality trade asset. But, to be able to go at these aging teams with swarms of talented, energetic athletes in the starting lineup and off the bench would be crazy.

We have the cap room, we could get him just for giving Houston a trade exception, thats what the rockets want, to clear that salary with no return of salary.

Yeah seriously. Add Lou to that list too. Easy cuts to make room.

I wouldn't help Houston get Dwight Howard just to get Thomas Robinson. All he has is athleticism and motor right now. He doesn't bring anything else. Pass on him, especially if it allows the Rockets to get Howard.

If all that is in the way of Houston getting Howard to trade T-rob, then he is as good as traded. Might as well be a part of that if Monty thinks we can develop him into the player most thought he would be.

Sounds an awful lot like Faried.

This. Trust and believe somebody will gladly accept Robinson for next to nothing. If we think T-Rob can improve this team if nothing else as another asset we'd be really foolish to pass.
