They will have no depth behind those two if they plan to let Jefferson and Millsap walk. why wouldn't Atlanta do it? They're losing Josh Smith aren't they?

    Ok what would you offer?

  3. #28
Nothing because he wouldn't get any minutes playing with Davis, Anderson, and Smith.

Utah needs backups, and even though he is a player with great potential PF is our strongest position. I dont think he could play much SF anyway

I think we'll be out bid by some team. However if they are willing to trade him to us for scraps you don't even blink before you say yes.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Roberts and a future 2nd rounder or two? The upside is difficult to ignore.

I'd love to add him if possible. He'd provide rebounding, motor, and toughness.

Would y'all be up for trading Lopez? He has a non-guaranteed contract.

This REALLY could come back to haunt Houston if Howard signs elsewhere. Robinson has a pretty nice upside.

It will eventually bite them in the ***. They've been pulling video games type of moves since last season. They wanted a star last summer, failed big time, got laughed at by everyone, and lucked into one a couple of days before the season started. Their day is coming.

As for the trade possibilities, I could see Oklahoma City offering their 29th pick and the Eric Maynor Trade Exception for Robinson, and Houston jumping on it.

The Rockets aren't looking for anything in this deal more than cap room. OKC could certainly use a big man with upside to spell Serge Ibaka and maybe develop at center enough to replace Kendrick Perkins sooner rather than later.

Between Davis, Lopez, Anderson, and Smith who gets phased out to make playing time for T Rob?

That's the problem if I had to guess it would be Smith. But he would have to beat him out I hope. Doubtful.

    It's sad. He hasn't had a chance

I'm of the old school. I think if you have one set star and build around that star with players who match his strongest suits, you can have a healthy dynamic and win games. While they've yet to win a title, it's fair to say this has worked in Oklahoma City and it sure has worked in San Antonio.

Granted, the multi-star format has worked in Miami and to a lesser degree in New York. However, I still think the entire concept of "all-star rosters" is by and large overrated to some degree. And yes, this is from a guy who is advocating the Pelicans trading for DeMarcus Cousins LOL.

No for Robinson's sake. No time for him here, he'd just sit on the bench like he did in Houston. I hope a team like Brooklyn steps up with a huge hole at PF. Don't know how much teams have to give without sending the Rockets back cap space unless they aren't in love with this draft... if the Rockets have to force their hand they'll just take best offer and teams know that so I don't think it will take too too much to get him

I would deal Lopez to them. His guaranteed money is only $500,000.

I think AD and T-Rob would fit well together.

I could do Lopez. If we need to take on some salary it's ok in our current situation. It doesn't have to be a 1 for 1 type of deal.

T Rob would make a wonderful 6th man like bigman for us. Oh forgot we have Ryno. Anyways he'll be on his 3rd team in only close to 1 year, that should tell you guys something. No place for him here IMO.

I'd rather go for Derrick Williams. I think he could play the 3 better.

Difference is that the Wolves aren't trying to dump him like the Rockets are with T-Rob.

Eh. I won't let a lil' inconvenient thing like facts get in my way.

I envision an offseason where we draft Burke, trade Vasquez, Gordon, and Lopez, and acquire DeMarcus Cousins and a lotto pick that turns into Andrew Wiggins next year.

This is reality according to I.
