@Lou_Got16 Oden is a darkhorse. Highly unlikely he plays this year, but if you have unused cap space, why not give him deal and get him in your program. Have YOUR doctors work with him, etc. I would give him 2 years/ 5 mil with team option for a 3rd year. Why not?

I'm just saying that just because a player is (debatably) a better leader, doesn't mean that he is the better player. That was just the most extreme example I could think of to make my point.

Bad example all around, and I don't know what team who would be comfortable in their so called best player (by default I must add) not being the idealistic leader of the team? Especially when that player is gonna be making $15 million a year and can't stay healthy to save his career?

I don't think this is accurate. Jack didn't net us a TPE because we were under the cap when we made that trade.

I said the same thing when the trade happened and like 5 people jumped on me and said we got one. I was pretty sure we didn't get one.

All they did was match the offer. No magic tricks necessary. Gordon's only play to get out of dodge was to sign the QO he didn't want to risk the money. It's so confusing why he would make those statements in the 1st place. He had to know barring a sign and trade he would be right back here.

I think they were talking about the staement to be released by Gordon's team.
