He's got a player option for his second year, meaning if he has a good/decent year he'll decline the option and be a free agent...we won't have his bird rights so we'll be limited in what we could pay him. Don't see him as a long term piece unless he struggles or is injured (what are the odds?) and has to pick up the second year option.

It would be nice to have our 9th man locked in for the long haul. It's invaluable to lock up the production of a guy that probably can't see the floor in playoff games.
