But the culture that guy brings is incredible. His teammates seem to love him. He's always the first off the bench celebrating. Every time he gets subbed in he goes all out, even in blowout losses. So often when I have watched this miserable excuse for a team, we're sleepwalking through a loss when Alvarado got subbed in and immediately you see our team play with some fire. Of course, we're still so bad that we still often lose but the loss doesn't feel as bad when I see the Pels playing hard.
The team is completely rudderless. They spent all their future draft capital and are one of the worst teams in the league. The Pels will have to rebuild and hope for development. You know what kind of player would be good for that? A spark plug who doesn't demand shots and is a good teammate who hypes everyone up and keeps the vibes positive even through losses. Alvarado should have been the spirit of the team, even if he isn't the greatest player. And I never heard him complain about being in our tiny market. But naturally we got rid of him. This team sucks so bad and I don't want to think about them or what an embarrassment they are.
I'm happy for him to get out of this flaming wreckage and hopefully the fans in New York embrace him.
