    trades

Most teams dwelling at the very bottom of the league try having a fire sale as they deadline approaches. Obviously, cause getting rid of their talent helps them immensely in regards to their goal.... tanking.

Tanking doesn't help the pickless Pelicans.

But even if it did, I still don't think we'd trade much. Odd as it sounds we value these players despite being cellar dwellers. And rightfully so. We got good pieces and the ******** theyre offering us just isn't worth it.

Trading for Jaden Ivey does interest me though. Imagine having someone who might be able to shoot, dribble and pass like a guard. every team needs at least one true guard who is kind of good. It's carzy watching him and fears, both at 6'3", but play like there is a two foot difference.

Id trade Bey for Ivey. Herb for Ivey would at least take a 1st rounder though attached imo

Im so sick of hearing folks complain about us not making a trade.

Not one trade i've seen offered wass sufficient, and i've seen a lot of proposals. I know we are cellar dwellars; but bad trades are partially responsible for us being here and certainly wont help us turn it around.

The 30 year old bum the knicks were trying to trade us is a 6'7" center who specializes in riding the pine. are you kidding me?

i know many teams inquire about Murphy and Jones; cause they're good and on great deals. trading those away wont help and they will still be on good deals in the off season.

people want zion traded, but we were really going to get robbed on that one. let him improve his worth by playing the season out.

I dont know why anyone would trade for Poole or Murray cause they make me sick

we suck this year. no trade offered to us this year would change that. patience is the correct call

i just heard a dude on pelstalk talk about accountability.... for who? The gm and coach are both new. given the gm screwed up on this summers draft trade, but his picks look decent.

Sooooo Alvarado for a scrub and 2 seconds...

Alvarado on paper doesn't move the needle much. He's an energy role player off the bench. On paper he's a serviceable backup and that's about it.

But the culture that guy brings is incredible. His teammates seem to love him. He's always the first off the bench celebrating. Every time he gets subbed in he goes all out, even in blowout losses. So often when I have watched this miserable excuse for a team, we're sleepwalking through a loss when Alvarado got subbed in and immediately you see our team play with some fire. Of course, we're still so bad that we still often lose but the loss doesn't feel as bad when I see the Pels playing hard.

The team is completely rudderless. They spent all their future draft capital and are one of the worst teams in the league. The Pels will have to rebuild and hope for development. You know what kind of player would be good for that? A spark plug who doesn't demand shots and is a good teammate who hypes everyone up and keeps the vibes positive even through losses. Alvarado should have been the spirit of the team, even if he isn't the greatest player. And I never heard him complain about being in our tiny market. But naturally we got rid of him. This team sucks so bad and I don't want to think about them or what an embarrassment they are.

I'm happy for him to get out of this flaming wreckage and hopefully the fans in New York embrace him.
