Historians will one day look back at BI and "the fit" issue as the height of disinformation on the interwebs in the mid 20s.
See sig.
We're acting like Zion wasn't looking absolutely beastly.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
Oh yeah, forgot about Zion getting caught up too..
I'll say this again. It's pointless going back and forth with you or anyone else about this. It's not going to happen. I no longer have an interest in debating it. It's never happening buddy. So why bother pressing me about it? And yes I've seen posters here who don't care for Ingram, not liking that trade, or being enthused about it. Check the other Ingram trade thread.

Basketball.
Let's not get this twisted. I only jumped in because I thought it was funny because you said "no one on earth would suggest that", when in reality I read other basketball forums regularly, and multiple people on realGM suggested it. I personally don't care who we trade him for, I'm not in love with Allen. I just want better roster construction.
You are arguing with a BI/Lakers fan who is only here because of BI. Don't bother, I explained my position about fifteen times to him too and the only response I ever got was that it was silly and a random claim that I was ''redefining words'' by performing the radical act of explaining what I meant.
Do not waste your time. He's deemed it silly, so nothing you say will change his mind. In his head, BI for JA is silly. There is no number, no stat, and no argument for fit you can make that will change his mind. For him, the very idea that JA might fit in better or provide more value to this team is like arguing that a rock might be better at shotput than a jellyfish - it's just not something that even approaches the realm of possibility.
Start ignoring my posts if you don't like what I say.. But when you post something crazy I'm going to respond. And I'm not the only one that has told you that some of your posts on Ingram are silly.
While I'm very much in favor of moving BI, There is a part of me that watched the end of season presser and thinks to myself, what if he's completely serious and has an epiphany? And sees that he has to TRULY adapt his game to include 7-9 3's a game? I know he has not done it his entire career but sometimes it has to hit you in the face for it to sink in. Then we trade him and that light goes on and he's shooting 7-8 3's a game @ 40+%.
add to that... that BI is a freaggin gym rat that loves basketball and wants to be here. I know everyone is sick of his lack of adjustment to the recent changes in hoops .... but this is probably the point where he sees it too.... and i can totally see him going elsewhere and starts letting 3's fly.
I think us asking him to run point so much kinda lent itself to him not taking threes
My first basketball game ever we had Jr smith don’t question our loyalty to the team over a player some of us just seen what it’s like to barely have good players who take the game seriously and wants to be here and be great while holding theirselves accountable also doesn’t get in any trouble fr
Everyone thinks Brandon needs to shoot 3s but why not Zion when
he’s the one that teams back off 10 ft
he’s the one that went 4/4 in his first game
he’s the one that gets hurt driving to the paint
He’s the one who’s game is pretty one dimensional
Lebron said he will take less money for Jonas that’s surprising I thought players never turn down more money I thought that’s the only motive of playing the game was to get paid especially when this may be your last big contract wow learn new things everyday still
Zion creates the most efficient shots in basketball at a historic rate. Asking him to stop taking point blank shots at the rim (which are the shots with the highest expected point return and the highest likelihood of creating free throws and the highest impact on a defense) so that he can take 3s when there is nobody in the entire league other than Giannis who could replace that is an absurd thing to do.
By comparison, long midrange shots are among the least efficient shots in basketball, and while BI is excellent at them, he isn't the kind of historically good midrange shooter (such as Durant or even prime CP3) that you need to be to warrant that many attempts from there. Transitioning some of those long middies (not even all of them, just most) into 3s would instantly make him more effective and make defenses have to respect him more.
Teams ''back off Zion 10 ft'' and that's a mistake because all it does is give him a runway to gain speed, which is why he's consistently able to score over 3 or 4 defenders in the paint; he's already in motion by the time he gets to a defender.
Using the fact that he went 4/4 in a game 5 years ago as proof he needs to shoot a bunch of them is hilarious thank you for that.
Lebron has already made nearly $500m in career earnings and he is using the possibility of taking a lower amount (which would still be likely in the $50m per year range, just not the $56m/yr range that his real offer would be) as a threat: he's basically blackmailing his organization because he is a FA and is Lebron James and therefore can do that. To a team that is willing and able to pay the luxury tax and therefore he has reason to believe they will do as he says. He's made his money, he's at the end of his career, he's willing to forgo $5m a year because that's chump change to him in exchange for winning.
Brandon Ingram is in his prime. He is in precisely the prime age where you don't turn money down because this is your opportunity to make it big: unless BI is assuming he's still going to be commanding $50m a year when he's 40 (which would be a very bold move) he has no incentive to take a lower quantity. On top of that, while the Lakers are willing and able to pay the luxury tax and therefore Lebron can put a threat on the table to force them into doing so, BI cannot do the same here because the Pelicans will not pay the luxury tax. They are one of only two teams to have never done so, and they're not going to start now.
Never implied he need to shoot a bunch more but to say it isn’t 2 to 3 times he should take that shot a night is not being honest and those 4 aren’t the only ones he’s made in his career i just used that as an example how it could be useful it literally brought us back into that game
We/people constantly complain about him not getting the calls so it’s not like he’s fouling anyone out or leading the league in fta not his fault but maybe that should be taken as a sign he’s not going to get them calls everytime bulldozing in at 250+lbs
You didn’t address the fact he gets hurt majority of the time driving to the paint so I guess you agree with that also as good as he is driving over 3/4 people sometimes it’s better to take the 3 being he can make it he’s open and injury history and it’s good you brought up Giannis because he can do what Zion does but you know what else he’s been doing shooting 3s and midrange shoots
Soon will be year 6 for our guy I feel he could’ve been in the goat conversation but at this rate the lack of development I don’t see that happening at this point
I’m going to find you other instances just to show you people turn down money not many people live in the exact same circumstances but I’m just going to show you because I can tell you don’t like being wrong or called out about it ,
Brandon is far away from 40 13 or 14 years or so to say he can’t make good money when the cap steadily goes up and we’re paying old asx cj almost 40 m a year is insane and to act as if he couldn’t take a 2 to 3 year deal paying a little more than what he makes but not the max and amplify his value for down the line is short sighted when plenty of players turn down long term deals for shorter ones or just staying on that last year to prove it is disingenuous , and griffin said he knows the can’t avoid it forever we just watched them make a trade without giving up a player everyone said had to be included we don’t know jack until we do
Nobody saw us getting boogie when we got em you never know the possibilities in life my man
Udonis Haslem
Dame took a payout on his first max
James harden
Kevin Durant
Demarcus cousins
David west
Andre igoudala
Spurs big 3
I can deep dive for you later to give you the specifics but I gotta get ready for work now
