We need to riot about z not getting these foul calls
It's a legit problem. His career FTr up until this year was 51.2%. This year so far it's 36%. He has not suddenly gotten that much less aggression, or taken that many fewer shots in the midrange. His style is the same. His shot profile is the same. Refs have just stopped calling them. He went from ''probably deserves a few more foul calls but its fine'' to ''they do not call fouls on him''.
I love you Herb but this is why you gotta be benched for Trey.
Hawk has been great tonight honestly. I know he's struggled a ton with the shooting but he's rebounded well, kept the effort up, etc.
And honestly, he's taken 10 threes in a half. Outside of Trey, who else on this team would ever dare to do that? Once the shot falls, it will be brutal for opposing teams to deal with. Shooting on that volume is something we just don't get from anyone else.
On the back of outrebounding OKC heavily and finally hitting some 3PAs, the Pelicans have won the second quarter by 13 points and cut the deficit to 6.
The game is now entirely winnable. If they can come out in the 3rd and just play good basketball, they can take the lead. Come on, guys. We know you're capable of it.
That was an offensive pushoff if anything. My god, bad reffing.
good that the shots started to fall towards the end...i hope that keep up in the second half...
I utterly hate watching games on ESPN
Brandon Ingram shot making and facilitating skills are missed so bad and key to this team
Hawkins will be nice once he get a lil stronger I can tell he has heart and iq
Two years ago, we went all in for Kyle Lowery and CP3 in the off season and fell flat on our face. Then. at the trade deadline we settled for CJ to stir the drink at the midseason deadline. Griff and Trajan checked the point guard box and the rest is history.
Kendrick Perkins has the worst opinions and sounds like an idiot. Change my mind.
Bally App still screwed up for me as well. won't load. then wants me to log in again. then says error. then says my device not authorized. then says try again later. unreal.
Thing about this Pelicans team, and this was true in pre-season also, is that the defense is actually good. In the half court.
In transition it's awful.
So when we offensively rebound or score, our defense becomes considerably better.
Lo and behold, when we start getting OREBs, the game swings wildly in our favor - and then the 3s finally start falling and goes close.
Tells you where the team focus needs to be: rebounding, and generating threes for good shooters. Wonder if we've heard that before.
Zion hits JV for a three, we're up for the first time in forever.
Did I mention how much I love this team! go pels!
CJ sinks another - since getting outscored 33-14 in the first quarter, Pelicans have outscored OKC 48-25
Playing much smarter this half
Also taking advantage of our width underneath
I’m not sure why Willie is challenging this. Even if we win it, so what.
Unless JV was in foul trouble, but I didn’t think he was.
