So, defensively our perimeter defense is bad. Especially when Zion is on the floor. Offensively, we're just watching BI, Zion, and CJ take turns going one on one. Our best stretch was when Jose was running point.
Going through a coach's growing pains is WAY harder than a player's.
So the refs are so one sided that the Warriors have their scrubs in against our starters and the scrubs are getting every call LOL
The Pels outscoring the Warriors in the paint and yet getting fewer foul calls and fewer FTAs.
Where have I seen this before?
Jose has a sweet spot from behind the arc, a little off to the side
Jose's facility as a scorer really has exploded compared to last year
Notice how hesitant the refs are to even call an obvious foul? Brandon needs to draw blood before getting a call. Almost as if the refs are trying to level the playing field.
Up 9 going into the 4th
I'll take it. Good closing segment to that generally bad quarter
whew great finish to the quarter, grabbed a little breathing room
BI saving us from another heartbreaking loss.
I have no idea where it's come from, because it has nothing to do with levelling the playing field. The refs routinely call us unfavorably when we're playing Golden State. We've seen it happen in multiple playoff series even at the height of their superteam powers, when they had the vastly superior roster. It's been happening for 7 seasons now, at least.
Players are obviously getting frustrated with the inconsistency of the calls at each end.
Herb just looks completely lost. He has been terrible tonight.
This is how bad it is: Zion currently leads the league in at-rim scoring attempts per game, by a huge margin. Like, he's averaging over 20 so far this year and second place is Giannis who is averaging about 17.
Yet he's 28th in the NBA in FTAs per game. He's behind Steph Curry, Mitchell, and Bane from Memphis, who are all taking fewer than half the at-rim attempts. It's nuts. The refs just refuse to call things for us, and for Zion in particular: he's averaging nearly half the number of FTAs per game he was getting last season he played despite averaging more rim-attempts, and he was under-called then!
Absolute joke
We are playing their bench against our starters at home and barely winning. This team needs a lot of work. Without Jose we would be toast by now.
Good teams sometimes win when they play bad, i hope we can do it even though we are playing awfull...
