So, if 3/60 is floor. Why should any team try to go above it. Then, they try to throw that deal out of the window by public airing out that they wouldn't go back to Boston.

Which is an idiotic thing to do is take bidders off the table. So, all these team probably baulk at the 112 offer or decide to wait out this 112 bluff at 6pm. It completely back fired in his agent's face.

Horford Agent is an amateur negotiator.

KD is a skinny dude, so you could be paying him max money for 4 years and he’s only 100% for 2 years??? Watch the Knicks end up looking smart for a change when it’s all said & done.

Don’t think he was going there anyway. He was joining Kyrie
General consensus is that Butler is going to Miami if they can clear up the cap space. A bunch of reports of mutual interest have been coming out all day about it, and Butler is in Miami, or at least was within the last 24 hours.

Horford's agent is Jrue's agent. Who got Jrue $26m+ per.

Yeah, he tried to play the same ploy he did back then with Jrue. The only thing different is that there isn't a Dell Demps to sucker into it.

Except it turns out $26m/year for Jrue is a good deal for the Pelicans.

Also, Jrue was averaging like 15/7 in a down year at the time, not 13/5 in a completely normal year at this point in his career. Also, Jrue was 27 then, not 33.

Here is what i want to happen next:

    a) Sign Horford to 3yr/ $60M contract with a team option for the 4th year

    Or....

    b) Trade Moore to the Thunder for Adams

It’s crazy that we sign a player at the position we are deepest at, shooting guard. It’s just like the NAW pick. I didn’t look hard a shooting guards cause I thought that would be the last position we would take. But 3 point shooting is needed in today’s NBA and we got one of the best long distance shooters available in free agency. He’s one of best in the entire league and gives us that older vet with playoff experience that we need IMO. I would of thought we had to slightly overpay for a guy like him, but these players see us as an in demand destination after the last couple months. The NBA front office hire of the year is David Griffin and we haven’t even played a summer league game yet.

Why would OKC want to trade Adams at this point?

They're in salary cap hell, their luxury tax is absurd for a team that isn't even making the second round, they desperately need shooting (hence Moore), and they literally put Adams along with Roberson and Schroder on the trade block last week. Couple of reasons

It's 1:26am here in the UK, and I've been up since 4am yesterday, so I'm gonna sleep.

Knowing my luck, that means that within 20 minutes, Kawhi will announce where he's signing and we'll find out what's happening with Horford.

So I guess I'll find that out in the morning.

Getting Adams would be AMAZING! him mentoring Zion and Hayes would be awesome!! Best offseason ever???

The Jazz made some good moves even though they cut Favors. If we get them in the playoffs, it ought to be a winner gets the Jazz name!!! It belongs to us

Well... looks like the mad rush is over. I think everyone is going to wait to see what Kawai decides.... then there will be another rush of signings.

His whole first contract was pretty bad for the most, because of injury. Spent 3-4 years trying to get him healthy, but no matter how you argue it. For the production that Jrue put out outside of his all-star year. It was an expensive Dell Demps gamble that actually worked out. I seriously doubt there was any real 126 suitor after that turbulent 4 years with us.

Did Jabari Parker sign with anybody yet? He's a Blue Devil too. Zion's back-up?

  20. #670
Anyone know when the Pelicans will announce their summer league roster?

    I wouldn't mind that signing.

Yeah, can someone tell us what time the Blue Devils play the Knicks on Friday?

    LMAO. This meltdown is epic

I hope Al Horford stays on the market for a day or 2. We do a sign & trade with Boston signing Horford to a 3 year $75 million dollar deal then sending him with Tremont Waters to us for Etwaun Moore, Dairis Bertans, & that highly protected Cavs 1st.

    C: Horford, Okafor, Wood
    PF: Zion, Hayes, Melli
    SF: Ingram, Hart, Kenrich
    SG: Jrue, Redick, NAW
    PG: Ball, Jackson, Waters

That would be so sick if possible!!

I honestly can't fault the Knicks for not throwing cash after KD. The man wont play next year and no telling how he'll look in 2020.
