What about that emo amateur writer that sometimes frequents here? I mean, getting on people's nerves is like his thing. It's like Aquaman not being around when the upstart world killer is a dolphin.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.

BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

For Davis to not get any FT attempts is a ****** joke.

The NBA clearly just trying to cash in.

It's a little disingenuous to complain about the FT disparity as the pels committed alot of pretty obvious fouls - especially in this game. That said, AD is not getting the benefit of the doubt whatsoever, and it certainly feels like the Pels are not on the right side of some of the more questionable plays. Jrue and AD shooting no FTs this game is pretty absurd.

Draymond Green's immunity from technical fouls is the weirdest thing ever. For some reason, he has a higher threshold with the refs. Most players would be disqualified by half time if they acted like him.

7(10 of his 15 shots were threes)

    Seems normal*.

**And he only played part of one of them.

when our 2 best players combine for as many FT attempts as our coach, there is something wrong

Fouls committed in the first two games:

    Pels- 43
    Warriors - 34.

Difference in committed fouls is 9. Which would make you expect their FT lead to be (if all fouls were on 3pt attempts) 27 higher. It's 39 higher. No explanation.
    Basketball.

It's disingenuous to not recognize the Warriors are doing obvious fouls that don't get called. It's the NBA way to call silly touch fouls on the warriors and let green yell at every ref on every play but if boogie argues it is an automatic technical. So that we can agree on.

I like our team a lot. I’m proud of them. I see a bright future. Resign Cousins and Rondo. Improve bench in free agency if possible. If only Hill developed a good 3 point shot...

Series not over though so I won’t talk too much about offseason...

Best case scenario we win 2 at home and even the series. It's possible after seeing this game I feel good. If we tie it up 2-2 then game 5 is at gsw and they'll probably win it and if we can win game 6 at home it would be phenomenal. We are going to lose the series 99 percent sure but I'm convinced we have a top 5-10 team and will be a top 3 soon...

KD and Klay aren’t gonna shoot that poorly all the time. It’s a shame we couldn’t take advantage of that tonight.

The pels (mostly AD) need to stop closing out on Green. He's too good of a passer and he's killing us. So what that he made a couple of 3s. He's a bad shooter and we need to live with it. Same with Iggy, just leave them. We need to pick our poison.

Jrue was heroic tonight. 47 minutes, and all things considered - pretty great D on Durant. Love that dude.

You could of called a foul on a quarter of AD's shots tonight and basically all of his alley oops. He had 0 FTA's.

I do think that even in a more evenly called game the Warriors would of still had more FT's. Since the Pels did have several major lapses and self bailout fouls, but not to the magnitude that is going on.

Moreover, there are a number of offensive fouls that could and should be called more often on the Warriors, from using the off arm to create separation, to pushing off on screens, to Draymond inexplicably always being given far more leeway with refs than any other player on any team.

If this game is called like the Portland series, honestly, this game does likely go to the Pels.

    This!

We win tonight if it's called fair.

Sure, they'd probably still end up with more FTAs than us, but by 5 maybe, or even 8 or 9. To be out-FT-ing us by 20 is just ridiculous.

AD & Jrue 0 free throw attempts had never happened in a game in which they both played, no matter how many minutes either played.

No other league in the world calls those terrible touch fouls

I don't understand the logic behind them?

The logic is: if they don't call them Golden State loses at home. Unacceptable for narrative.

Respect for the fight. Now is our turn to take a win in the series.

Jrue has just looked amazing these playoffs. Gets to the bucket at will, and he's about the best finisher I've seen. I don't think I've seen him miss from inside a few feet yet, no matter how contested. Hopefully this confidence carries over to next year because if he plays like this all year look out.

Solomon Hill really exposed that position last night. They basically didn't guard him and let him shoot those bricks every time. We ended up playing 5 on 4 a good bit which allowed them to way too easily double AD and just leave Hill wide open. Just can't have that.

The free throw thing is a joke as is the overall ref quality and I've been saying for a long time now the second the Pels go away I stop watching any NBA basketball. It's just so unenjoyable and subjective. Let them play. A foul should put you on the ground or completely alter your shot. Otherwise it's just good defense.

To provide some stats for the Jrue claim:

Jrue Holiday is, according to Basketball Reference, shooting 83% inside of 3 feet in these playoffs.

    This team needs a bench.
Clark, Hill, Diallo and Miller are hopeless.

  20. #420
This is a series where you need a Aron Artest or a Stephen Jackson, or a Lance Stephenson. We need Boogie back but then a BAMF for the bench. What is going on won’t be solved by the refs, but by street justice.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I've said it a bunch of times.

One possession for Okafor. Just one possession to body Green.

  22. #422
I see the ft disparity swinging the other way this next game. The NBA will look at the numbers and tell the refs what to do. I am not saying that the Warriors won’t win the series, but this next game if we are on, the refs will do their part to make this an evenly called game.

The worst refs in sports are soccer refs. This isn’t even a question. People have written grad school thesis hon this, heck I think even the UN has gotten involved in stripping them of their power.

Okafor is strong, but I don’t think he is “punch you in the face” tough. Heck, I would even go for CP3 punching Julius Hodge in the nutts right now.

If I am a fan sitting courtside, and I see a ref running full speed down the court, and that ref hasn’t been calling a fair game, I would spill my drink in his direction.

I don't even know how that stat compares to the league but it seems high.

Maybe I've blanked them out but I honestly don't remember the 17% that were missed. He's just seems unstoppable no matter who's in front of him. I thought he was going to break Durant's ankles at one point.

Problem with the Warriors is Durant just kept coming right back down the court and draining long 2s.

    It's extremely high.

For comparison, here are other shooting percentages from within 3 feet from several other notable stars these playoffs:
    LeBron James - 79%
    Anthony Davis - 72%
    Kevin Durant - 60%
    DeMar DeRozan - 54%
    John Wall - 61%
    James Harden - 57%
    Chris Paul - 72%

For Jrue to be finishing at 83% at the rim is astonishing. It's insane.
