    1. Trading for Bledsoe + Making the playoffs --> Boogie re-signs because of loyalty, Kentucky brotherhood, and AD + Bledsoe + knowing Wall only has 1 more year on his contract.

    2. Boogie re-signs + AD on the team + Bledsoe on the team --> John Wall coming to NOLA (I've stated countless times how we can acquire John Wall through a trade of Jrue, Diallo, draft picks OR just wait until he becomes an UFA that following season...Again, this is all assuming Wall doesn't sign his extension with Washington this year, which looks to be the case. I've also stated that less teams will trade for Wall because of the 1 year rental). Three best friends. Two college teammates. Kentucky brotherhood.

    3. Wall re-signs with Pels + Bledsoe + Boogie + AD + Veterans who wants to ring chase --> Championship contending champ

    4. If we chose route B, which is to wait until Wall becomes an UFA rather than trading for him, then I'd trade Jrue, Diallo, and draft picks for Booker. ***I don't think this step will happen, but it is possible.

    5. Now, we really got an all-time Kentucky superstar line-up in Wall + Booker + Bledsoe + AD + Boogie.

PLEASE QUOTE ME ON THIS IF, AND A BIG IF, WE TRADE FOR BLEDSOE AND/IF Boogie re-signs. Then, I can almost ascertain that the dominoes will fall for us in a good way.
DO NOT SAY ANY OF THE STEPS BETWEEN 2-5 IS UNREALISTIC UNTIL WE KNOW FOR SURE WHERE BLEDSOE ENDS UP.
Like I said, step 1 needs to commence before the rest of the steps can happen (one can argue we can straight up trade for Wall without waiting on Bledsoe being on the team, but I am not going there).

I mean that's all fine and stuff but it seems like we don't have enough to get Bledsoe or something would have leaked... I mean I have heard zilch about us this off season I mean it is what it is we don't have enough to get the players we want Dell just messed it all up when he gave all those unnecessary contracts

We heard zilch before the Boogie trade, as well.

I'm antsy, too......but something will happen.

No. Face reality. Our team is screwed and getting a good player is fantasy. Oh, and MM is trolling. Or whatever.

Jesus, get over yourself. You're talking about sports. It's escapism. None of this is reality.

I miss David Fisher posting on this board. He and RekHavoc, NYKF, GA, countless others. Where have all the old dogs gone?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I don't really miss Fisher as much. He was such a debby downer. But I do miss the other guys!

I miss HH and Unknown Poster as well.

I didn't mention FG because, well, we all know where she is...heaven.

A few were old school Charlotte Hornets fans once they got a team back some went back to cheer for the home team. But I agree I miss some of the old posters.

Man, reading some of those names brings back an awful lot of memories.

Yeah, Hornets Guru had a trade for everything, and we busted his chops for it, but man, he was active, and he was a solid contributor.

IamQuailman once gave me tickets to a game the year we traded CP3 for Kaveman, Gordo, and Chief, that was probably the biggest mistake of his life. If I recall correctly he works for Oschner, so maybe work has him bogged down.

I understand the need to temper expectations for some. Disappointment blows chunks.

But at the end, we all want the best for the team. I mean, I'm willing to let this offseason play itself out. Until I hear that all the targets we're after are being flipped to other teams, like Lin, Bledsoe, and perhaps now Reggie Jackson (shudder), what else can we do? Complaining is just as constructive as hoping, far as I'm concerned. Life is crappy enough without dragging misery into fandom.

If I wanted care about something that made me feel bad, I'd stare at my student loan debt all day.

Oh, and Guru is still around. He's active on SaintsReport as TruSaint, but he's kinda mellowed out of late even there.

The only reason trolls exist is because posters empower them by acknowledging their existence. Literally all you need to do is block them. It's that simple.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Huh? I'm sure some just rather not deal with all the negativity and useless trolling. That doesn't mean they aren't fans anymore. I personally prefer quality over quantity.

Maybe all those posters I mentioned are still here, only they have blocked all of us, and we have no idea that they are still around. Maybe they are like ghosts.

I tried the ignore option but when others quote them its useless because you still see the post.

I get that. But you don't have to read their quotes. And you certainly don't have to acknowledge they exist. Those are still personal decisions.

God I hope folks don't consider me a troll here. If so I'll stop posting. I really try to add humor and lighten up the seriousness here. I sometimes get emotional because I realize I relate and lived my life through the Pelicans, I feel like I too have a ton of potential, but misfortune keeps finding it's way and I'm not taken seriously, so over the years I felt more connected with this franchise through the ups and certainly the downs with all the tragedies as well on PR (RIP FlyGirl) but all in all I'm trying to disconnect away from this team. I realize I truly care too much and this whole free agency trading rumors fiasco is making me realize that I can't live through a franchise, although I really really really want us to succeed Soo badly and just freak up the League, naysayers, folks who call us Hornets or mock us, etc. Overall, this franchise been through alot, has good guys, and still trying to find it's winning ways, I personally can relate to all of those things about my life.

No, you are a fan! Keep the posts coming.
It's that the Hornets unashamedly quit so quickly in Game 4 after fans in New Orleans showed up this season with greater regularity than the team could have ever dreamed, shaming misinformed know-it-alls like me who kept telling you that local residents couldn't possibly invest their time and money into something as trivial as rooting for the local basketball team while still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. - Mark Stien ESPN

Not at all. It's good to have optimists. Guys like you provide a much-needed and appreciated balance to the forums.

Yeah it sucks to wait, especially since we're watching all these other teams making moves and we've done nothing much other than resigning Jrue. At the same time, I keep getting the feeling that something is gonna happen.

Not a troll at all. You are just like most of us old Saints fans that had to endure the bag head days to Aaron Brooks passing backwards. We always had that saying "maybe next year". True diehards no bandwagons that jump teams because of players or team success. Gotta love it.
