We need patience and let things fall in place. We are close to doing something special. Just enjoy the process and the ride because where we are might not ever happen again. We are sitting with 2 super stars who are the best at their positions still just entering the prime of their careers. Might take the next 2 off seasons to get everything in place but when we do it's going to be one hell of a ride.
Well, aint getting Bledsoe for that. I want to come as close to being "DEFINITE" as possible that Boogie re-signs.

I love Bledsoe but IMO Fournier would be the better option. Bledsoe has always been one of my favorite players but man Fournier would be a perfect fit right now. He would also fit great with Wall/Westbrook of that time comes while Bledsoe would still work but I don't know if it's an ideal fit. IMO Fournier is a Klay Thompson clone with the same skill set and potential. Fournier is just 24 and Klay starting breaking out at a similiar time along with Leonard. Fournier has some serious breakout potential going forward and our scheme fit along with his role here would be one of the best places for him to land.

Fournier would be perfect for us. OK! If we can get Fournier, I'm good.

I don't think to many to many teams are knocking down the Suns do to offer them 2 1st round picks. A 1st and 2nd along with Jackson could be enough to get a deal done. We go all in giving up 2 1st and Diallo we kill our chances at making a move for a super star down the road. If Bledsoe had no injury concerns he would fetch more but that's not that case. I wouldn't give up 2 1st for him and I don't think that is what will be needed to pull him in either. Look what Paul George just got traded for.

We also have to throw in a BAD CONTRACT. We cant take Bledsoe's contract alone. We don't have the Space

I agree. I would not give up 2 firsts for Bledsoe. He has a significant injury history, and we don't want to end up like the Nets if the new team doesn't work out.

Phoenix has made it well known what they are trying to do. No reason to offer a kings ransom of draft picks for players phx has made known they don't want. Bids should be very low.

I agree Bledsoe gets injured a-lot, but he's a good player who can shoot, drive, and is very athletic. The thing is, we are not trading for Bledsoe just for his skills as a player to win now. We are trading for Bledsoe (hopefully) to ensure that we become a championship team in 2-3 years. How? Like I said, Bledsoe here is the first step. Then, making the playoffs will most certainly lead to Boogie re-signing here to play with Bledsoe and AD. Why? Kentucky blood/family/brotherhood and loyalty.

When Boogie signs, then I will bet my next paycheck Wall will sure follow. By next off-season, hopefully Jrue and Chieck and Hill has balled out enough to entice a trade to Washington for Wall. We will throw in 2 1st round picks as well. If Wall hasn't signed his extension by that time, then becomes a CP3/George, and Washington will be forced to trade Wall.

Less teams will want to trade for Wall knowing it's a one year rental. We will pull the trigger for a 1 year rental with Wall because we know there's no way he won't re-sign with us knowing that AD, Boogie, And Bledsoe is here. Three best friends. Two college teammates. Kentucky blood?

Plus, knowing that Boogie, AD, and Bledsoe is playing for NOLA should deter even more teams from trading for Wall knowing that he'll just sign with Pelicans after that 1 year with the team who traded for him. Basically, we won't have too much competition in the John Wall sweepstakes. Hell, I wouldn't mind the idea of another team trading for Wall. That way, we can trade Jrue and Chieck and Hill and picks for a superstar 3, and have John Wall sign as an UFA after his one year with that team who traded for him.

    Future is bright guys!

All this can happen ONLY if Wall doesn't sign his extension...And we make a trade for Bledsoe.

Remember guys: There is a reason why Wall hasn't signed his extension yet. There's are a reason why he said he wanted to "wait and see" around the same time the report came out that Boogie is recruiting players to come play for the Pelicans. It never said what players he was trying to recruit, and it never did say which year either...

By the way, and gosh I hope this can happen even though there's no reports or indication, but I hope we can get Coach Cal.

Coach Cal, Boogie, AD, Bledsoe. If you're John Wall, tell me you're not coming to the Pelicans??

We all have the wishful thinking. I just hope if we give up more than 1 first its protected in case this thing falls apart

I just don't see all of these teams(phil, chi, NJ, dallas, ATL getting expensive FAs and believe we will/can dump Asik, AA, etc to make a move.

Since the Hawks are in a full rebuild mode, what would it take to snatch Bazemore or Schroeder away from Atlanta?

I wonder why Hardaway Jr's name does not show up anywhere

It's probably intentional. Typically second and third tier free agents looking for big paydays wait for the larger dominoes to fall first. That way teams which have money, but have struck out to that point, are more willing to cash out to their demands. I'd expect to hear some more noise about him by the end of the week with Hayward signed, and Porter and Waiters soon to follow.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

@wojespn: Free agent guard Nick Young has agreed to a one-year, $5.2M deal with the Golden State Warriors, agent Mark Bartelstein tells ESPN.

Couldnt agree more. Fournier would be my #1 trade target, with Bledsoe being a close second. Fournier is locked into a 4 year contract at $17 million, which I expect to be a HUGE bargain contract a year or two from now. I think after those two, Lin would be my third trade target. I think Lin and Jrue would be a very good backcourt.

I just checked and Fournier signed a contract for 85mil for 5 years last year. Why are you mentioning him? There is absolutely no chance for him to be a Pelican

Well, Young took the ring route over more money.

Why even watch the NBA, Young could have made 8 mil, and settles for 5.2 to play for GS.
