"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

We have the best front court in the NBA now ... Hopefully these guys can gel quickly and we can make a run for it . 2.5 out of 8th place
Dell Demps PLEASE get us some scorers!
Don't think that was post trade news interview anyway.

I just say we have a top 3 protection on our first round draft pick we traded. That's awesome!!! Demps owned Divac on this deal!
We absolutely hosed the kings. Like one of the best trades ever.
When his contract ends, can't we offer him more than anyone?
The gist is if we miss the playoffs and win the lottery, ie. get a top 3 pick, then we keep our 1st rounder in an absolutely loaded draft. And can potentially see about flipping and getting after someone like Paul George or Jimmy Butler on top of Boogie.
This would be like beating Battletoads with an audio based controller that reads inputs from a trumpet you gotta play with your feet.
Another wrinkle for the Kings, if they weren't in the top 10 they would this year's pick to Chicago. If they're not in the top 10 then the Sixers had the option of swapping picks with them. By being worse this year, that means almost certainly get to keep this year's pick that they already had. Throw in Hield from last year, and that's a swing of 3 first round draft picks. From their perspective I don't think it's quite as bad as "just one draft pick". At least, that's what I'd be telling myself if I were a King's fan.![]()
"Timing is everything. Chemistry is something that you don't just throw in the frying pan and mix it up with another something, then throw it on top of something, then fry it up and put it in a tortilla and put in a microwave, heat it up and give it to you and expect it to taste good. You know? For those of you who can cook, y'all know what I'm talking about. If y'all can't cook, this doesn't concern you."
