BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
The problem with playing Asik is that now AD or whoever is playing PF is forced to defend Barnes . That was the problem we were having in the 1st quarter .
Lots of head scratchers this game.
- In a game with Bogut getting 30 minutes and Jones giving you nothing, and the paint becoming a free-for-all at times, why did Asik only get 7 minutes?
- Why is Jrue still not starting?
- Carlisle seems to be taking the Kobe lessons, give AD his and then guard everyone else. Dare them to score enough to beat you and let AD tire himself.
Fair point on Asik, still, I would of liked to see him get some more minutes then what he got when possible. No other big was giving us anything so at least Asik will protect the rim, grab boards and set hard screens to help get shooters clean looks.
Then they would have to guard ad. I think a good trade-off
I still believe going small was the right call . The game as tied at the end of the 3rd quarter. Our guards and forwards couldn't make wide open shots . With Bogut being the only 7 footer on the court he collected all of our bricks
