Thread: Draft Prospects Discussion

I guess the question is, what player do we really want that is there at 4 but not 6. Dunn most likely is gone 3 so I don't see a huge reason to move up.

Where are you reading that? There was a rumor earlier that the Suns wanted to make the trade, but Jazz said Hayward not available.

Was thinking about Hayward today. Has he made an all-nba team? I don't think Jazz are going to contend seriously with Hayward as their #1 guy

Hoopshype expects that Hawks loves Hield and want to package 12 & 21 to grab Buddy.

    Millions of rumours...

Sounds like a Demps type move.

If the 6th pick is involved with anything from the nets I'll be first in line to start the riots to fire Dell.

Damn it! I knew Kris Dunn would likely be looked at as the 3rd best player in this draft. I wanted him SO bad, but it looks like he will be gone now. So now it looks like Jamal Murray will be the pick I guess. As long as we take Murray or Hield this guy will be happy! Leaning towards Murray now since he looks to be the more versatile player & scorer. Man I wanted Dunn so bad cause IMO he's the 3rd best player and may even end up being the 1st or 2nd best player when it's all said and done.

If Bender, Brown, Hield and Murray were available who would you select assuming we don't trade the pick?

I'm going with Brown or Bender. Reason is the shooting guards are both weak on defense. Some people get all excited about players but if they can't defend well then they're probably just going to be a bench player for us. Bender and Brown have the lateral quickness and Bender has great potential to be a good defender as a Center.

I think Brown will be a major star. He's going to be better than Hield and Murray. I've read and watched everything on Brown and I'm convinced that we will pick him if he's there.

Bender easy. Him and AD together in the frontcourt would be scary, and even if he doesn't turn into a superstar he can probably still cut it as a good role player.
Hey @okcthunder - you guys suck! Our top players are hurt. Some are dead. Some don't even like basketball. And we still kicked y'all's asses!- @TheFakeMonty

Hield, then Murray. Brown or Bender too far away and may or may not ever get there.

Yeah I really wanted Kris Dunn to fall to the Pelicans but that seems unlikely. If he did, A back court of Jrue and Dunn would be a very good defensive/ play making back court to go with AD. Also, it would allow Evans to come off the bench and dribble his little hero ball heart out on the 2nd team. However, it seems like it going to go two ways if the pick isn't traded. I think either Murray or Heild will fall to us considering that Chriss is starting to become a top 5 pick. If Murray is chosen, I think they will start Evans and Holiday together and have Murray come off the bench as a scoring combo guard. If Hield is selected, I think they will pair him with Jrue in the starting line-up and let Evans come off the bench. With the second picks, I would like to see Dell move up into the late first and select one of these wings Taurean Prince (ideally), Patrick McCaw, or Malcolm Brogdon.
