But when I watch Jamal Murray's highlights, and how quickly he launches his 3-point bombs, I start thinking about Steph Curry.

watch this again if you will.. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=...B1&FORM=VRDGAR

    that's some serious swag.

for the first time in my life I'm not coaching basketball nor really watching much NBA hoops but from what I gather the NBA is becoming a 3-pointer league; is it not?

I see articles about how contested 3's are a good thing????

It almost spooks me to pass on Murray's skills
Yea I would love Murray as well. It's definitely going to be a tough decision for us if we pick at 3 but I'm happy to atleast have great options left at 6. Even though Curry seems like a crazy comparison it really is not. Like Murray never comes near the player Curry is but he has potential to be a very similiar player. I think Murray will be a lot like CJ McCollum which I would take in a heartbeat. I like what I hear about his skills passing the ball as well fitting nicely next to Jrue. The good thing is Jrue can also take the tougher matchup defensively each night but Murray can hold his own. Main thing Murray needs to work on his creating his own shot and consistently making it which I don't think will be a problem with more time. It is definitely becoming a 3 point league. If you are a great 3 point shooter I have no problem with them taking a contested 3 because it really shouldn't impact them much. Unless them defender is all over you then no but with a little space especially on a spot up then fire away. Great video by the way. Murray also has a similiar ability to Booker. Man I'm really excited about the draft when I think of how good the player we get can be. Hitting on our draft pick changes everything.

Yeah, I just decided that I'll most probably be excited regardless of which of these players we pick.

Dunn seems like a Westbrook junior

Brown would be exciting as hell in an up-tempo, spaced out offense- at least be our shawn marion (the entire time the pelicans/hornets have been here we have never put pressure on the rim from the perimeter AKA having guard/wings that get to the hole and slam it

and Murray,...... let me put it like this....... the way he transitioned from HS ball to being a freshman at Kentucky.... makes me think he could really step into the league and be successful also. He does need work on creating, but damn he gets it off fast; Holliday and Davis would get him open enough

deandre beambry has put up 17 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists the past two years for st. josephs

with everyone mentioning basketball IQ/ I think he would be the perfect 2nd round pick

    tough and versatile

    jrue holliday/ frazier
    jamal murray
    james ennis/bembry
    davis
festus ezeli/ john henson ( IMO we need to target a young center that can defend the rim/ and pick n roll and run- no way to win with our other bigs)

If we can dump Asik I would love to sign Ezeli. I have a feeling a team is going to offer him big $ which I would not do. I really hope we bring in Jason Smith especially if we move Asik. He is a great fit next to AD and in this system. He offers similiar spacing as Ryno while being a good rim protector and allowing AD to play the 4 instead of 5. He's also a great leader that plays his *** off which spreads to others. His versatility to play the 4 next to Ajinca is a plus as well. I would love to have a center duo of Smith/Ajinca while trying to find a young athletic center through the draft. We can use one of our 2nd round draft picks and possibly even both to find a big man to develop.

I think Thon Maker would be a great player to try to move up for and draft. He can possibly be a star once developed with lots of offensive potential. To me he has the most potential of any player late in this draft and would be a perfect player to bring in and develop.

If Murray, Dunn, and Brown were off the board I'd love it if we traded back for Thon Maker. Major project, but he could be the perfect fit next to AD.
Hey @okcthunder - you guys suck! Our top players are hurt. Some are dead. Some don't even like basketball. And we still kicked y'all's asses!- @TheFakeMonty

Man has any seen how good Kostas Antetokounmpo the little brother of Giannis is? Kid is going to be a star and in college next year. Some say he is the most talented one but that's a little hard to believe with how incredible Giannis has been.

He's not going to be taken that high where we need to use our 1st pick. No way am I trading back for anybody. We can use our two 2nd rounders and possibly future 2nds to move up if needed to grab Thon. He's a late 1st rounder at best as of right now. He's a major project but to me that's what picks in that area should be for. In a few years when we should seriously compete is when he could start contributing. He has a ceiling that is tough to gauge right now and it can be really high. Potential ya perfect fit next to AD. Could be the next Whiteside and could benefit from the same diet and workout program. We built AD up pretty quickly so I think we would know what to do with Thon.

I think Heild is a more athletic JJ Reddick while being better at creating his own shot. If we can get that out of him then we hit and I would be extremely happy. Heild has a lot of potential and quite a few players are showing why his body and skill set can be great in the NBA.

expect good news. Today around 12:00 BROWN will announce his decision
    http://www.californiagoldenblogs.com...source=twitter

If he declares we have 7 good prospects (Ben, Ingram, Bender, Brown, Hield, Murray, Dunn) - we have best shot on 6 or 7, so we might be excited...

Man I will be so excited if he declares. We will no doubt get a prospect I like on the top 7 picks and all could have a big impact. Only player I hope we don't pick is Bender and I'm pretty confident we won't u less maybe at 7.

This is the order I hope we go in and it's nice to have a change anyone of them.
    1. Simmons
    2. Ingram
    3. Brown/Heild
    4. Murray/Dunn

I can almost guarantee You that Bender will be long gone before 7th pick...
So it is up to Brown to declare and to remain in the draft (by hiring agent)

What's the stastically history of the lottery?

As in, how many teams outside the top 3 have picked in the top 3 over the past 20 years?

Quit getting my hopes up, plus on another note it hasn't happened in 5 years. The 6th pick is due.

    Sorry...
Since 2012 in every second year winner of lottery is from outside top3 (worst 3)
Last year the winner had the worst record

I just wanted to remind that lottery is not usually won by worst3.
Still chances are not so big.
But Lady Luck owes us something...

Wow that is incredible. I think people need to actually understand we are in a lottery before they start complaint and crying every night that we aren't the TWolves. Just funny how somehow we are in such a terrible position because we haven't been one of the worst teams in the NBA for the past decade to finally have some fortunes go their way. Getting Wiggins wasn't even anything they did right in the first place but Lebron basically forcing a super star caliber player their way otherwise they wouldn't have never gotten a player like him with Love. We are still in a very good position even though we aren't the TWolves which almost every team in the NBA whishes they had their situation.

    My Pelicans Big Board:
    1.) Simmons
2.) Ingram (Very very close 2nd)
3.) Hield (Will be dissapointed if we do not get him)
    4.) Murray
    5.) Dunn
    6.) Brown
If the 1-5 above are gone by the time we pick then I would like to try and trade the pick (whether it be trading down or just for a player straight up) and see what we could get and if there no good offers then I take Brown
    Welcome to be here
