Valentine should go up in the draft.
Don't expect to have him available on 11-14th pick.
I will be fine with him with 9-10th pick.

I agree. He is going to lead that team to the final four and will rise up the draft.

We need to sign Darcy Malone for the rest of the season....for tanking purposes.

I didn't know you could be that incompetent at the college level. His hands make Asik's look like Jerry Rice's and his IQ makes Evans look like a Rhodes Scholar.

I see some eerily similarities between Johnny Jones and Alvin Gentry's coaching styles. They both refuse to draw up plays for their star player and their teams look lost on defense.

Skal is going to be a star in this league. I think the kid is just a late bloomer and got off to a slow start. I think he is going to be a much better player then Noel because of his ability to shoot. I wouldn't be mad if we drafted him at all. We just put him on the AD diet and those two would be inter changeable. I think he fits Gentrys system perfectly and could give us a dominant duo. I watched Kentucky all season and he definitely has to be developed and is just a little late bloomer.

Skal should stay in college. He has the potential but I doubt his drive and confidence he's a 4 year project IMO.

Your overly optimistic. Skal can be a star but it's not a sure thing. He hasn't shown enough to warrant that "guaranteed" your giving him

He is dominating what is an absolutely dreadful LSU defense though.

He has potentiel, lots of guys do. But people often get too drunk on it to see straight. I do think you are right and he will probably make it in some capacity but there is some troubling issues like his poor rebounding. For a 6'11 guy that is kinda crazy he is averaging 7 boards per 40 minutes. For reference Davis, Towns and Noel all averaged roughly 13 boards per 40 minutes their freshman years at Kentucky. Thats like 40-45% less rebounds then those guys.

On another note, Murray just took a big knock in the character category from me for that little tripping incident. Ugly form.

I never guaranteed anything. I just think he can be a great player. He has everything you want in a big man right now. He had a rough start to the year and I don't think that should be held against players the way it is. As someone said I think he should stay for one nor year also but he won't. He's a lottery pick and will possibly be taken high. He could bust out just like any player. I just wouldn't up upset if we pick a little later then we would like and grab him.

Put him in college as long as Dunn has been and let's see what he looks like. Kid is a freshman and new era expectations are if they don't play like their a super star as a freshman they are a bust. I could aw the Twolexes pairing him up with Towns. He has a very similiar skill set to AD just has not been consistent enough yet.

I'm really just looking at it in a way of if we drafted him why I wouldn't be upset at all. I think practicing against a guy like AD and working with him everyday would eve late his game. He could be an absolute perfect fit next to AD for what we need. He has to get stronger and be more consistent and he's got a perfect guy who just did the same thing. You look at guys like Heild, Dunn, and Valentine you could go pointing out everything wrong with their games. He has some risk factor but it could reward us pretty well.

I'm still very high on Simmons despite the fact that LSU is terrible. Murray looked fantastic today. I could really be happy with either of them should we land in the top five.

In regards to Valentine, I really believe this guy will be a solid player at the next level. Should our pick be somewhere in the 9-12 range, I think he'd be an excellent selection for us.

Ingram is just not that impressive to me.

If the Pels grab a 1 or 2 pick, would you guys trade holiday, Evans and a future pick to grab another top 5 pick? Let's say we try to walk away with Simmons and Dunn, would it be worth it?

    Yes it would.

Is that even possible with a team like Denver or Minnesota?

I'm on the Jamal Murray bandwagon. I would give up just about anything to get my hands on him.

He's growing on me more and more, game by game. Dude is unstoppable when he turns it on. He has really improved over the last two months. He's probably my 5th favorite prospect in this draft, as of now. 2nd favorite guard behind Dunn.

I am still unimpressed with Ingram. We will see what he does in the tourney. Right now I would be ok with Valentine/Dunn/Hield or any combination off those 3 by trading back. I like Hields scoring but honestly I like Valentine and Dunn more and would love to have them both on the team. I am not really sold on anyone else yet. There are some guys I like as second round picks. Unfortunately most of the SF's I like are late first/second round guys. Like Layman/Niang/Poythross. I also really like Ulis but guys his size are rarely successful in the NBA so that is concerning. I hope to see some guys step up show consistency and leadership through March.

Ingram is just soo raw I think he is a huge investment process that I'm not so sure will pan out as great as others think he will. I can keep saying he is a 3 year process. I'm getting a Christopher-Douglas-Roberts floor from him

Murray is improving at a fast and impressive rate. I think if he shows out in the tournament he will move in the top 5 projection. I had a nightmare that we selected Jaylen Brown, I want NO part of Aminu 2.0. Players with character traits of not playing hard or over athletic is a huge flag IMO.

    My new mock:

    1. Lakers-Simmons
    2. Phx- Ingram
    3. Philly- Heild
    4.Bos- Brown
    5.N.O- Murray

I think management choose Murray over Dunn. Idk why but I think the only way Dunn becomes a Pel if we trade Jrue and another player package for another pick:

    Alternative

    5.NO- Dunn
    6. Denver- Bender
    7. Via trade with Milwaukee (Jrue+ Evans+ Future first top 12 protected) NO- Murray or Poeltl

    I'll post another scenario later
