    I think the cap hit is the same regardless of whether he makes the incentives or not. Only difference is to his (and team's) pocketbook.

    It seems to be both...an ETO is a choice of the player.

    The cap hit is tied to whether the player hit the incentive the previous year or not. This is why Jrue's cap hit decreased the previous 2 years compared to original projections.

    Asik has always been a really good player. Last season he had a down year, but in Houston and Chicago he was a very valuable player. The one year he spent with Monty Williams and not with Thibs or McHale/the analytics-sharp Rockets, he suffered, but his best skill, rebounding, was sharp as ever.

    I really think you're going to see he and Anderson gain the most from this coaching change.
