Pelicans finalizing trade for Asik

I'm guessing Dell is looking all over the NBA for non guaranteed contracts to throw in for Asik deal. If he can manage to keep Rivers, it'd be incredible. But I understand Rivers in all likelihood will have to go. Still, in a deal that would send out a backup guard, mid-late pick, and unguaranteed contracts, we'd be getting the best player in the deal by far. Still a deal to get incredibly excited about. I also firmly believe Dell can pluck some guy for next to nothing and have him be at least 90% of Rivers. Throw in a decent starting small forward like Dudley and you got a better team than any of us realistically imagined for this season. Only gotta wait a couple more days!

Only thing I could see. But man, I'd be pumped if we got him for that. Ryno no, but Smith or Aminu it's worth the risk. Still. I doubt this is it because he said this trade would allow us to keep Ajinca and Babbitt. This trade makes us better and I'm all for it, but it don't see how it allows us to keep Ajinca and Babbitt.
