Chandler was way more efficient than Okafor especially offensively. He gave CP3 alot of easy assists and teams had to watch for that. Raw numbers don't tell the story on how Chandler was way more impactful than Okafor. Also Peja was a force that year and CP3 was so much better as well.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
yea i agree but I'm just pointing out monty could of done more with what he had at the time. the west injury didn't help fopr the playoffs but landry stepped up and averaged west reg season #'s in the playoffs. minus him tho that roster was really deep monty had. his rotations that year were absolutely atrocious as well. sticking it to thornton and pondexter cause they were young. I'm just sick of it man. withey should be playing 25 min a game at this point ATLEAST. considering the guys on the roster at his position. especially considering the few min he does get all he does is produce.

I decided to check the advanced stats and chandler was slightly better not way more efficient. No way no how. Here is the breakdown.
Chandler/okafor
Ts% 63-59
Efg% 62-57
Orb% 13-12
Drb% 26-24
Trb% 19-18
Ast% 4-3
Blk% 2-5
Stl% 1-1
Tov% 15-15
Usg% 14-15
Ortg% 122-112
Drtg% 104-102
Ows 6-3
Dws 4-4
Ws 10-7
Ws/48 .172-.136
I don't claim to be an expert on advanced stats like these but looking at those numbers the drop off is very small if any. These are the numbers for the 2 playoff runs for each.
I am surprised till now there are still people defending Monty...
It's reasonable to say maybe he should stay till the end of this season. But I think AD deserves to get more wins and stay happy with a new coach.
We are not healthy, in my mind Monty is the partly the reason for the heath issue. If he used young players more, we may have a healthier team now. Except for Ryno, both Smith's and Holiday's injury were sort of accumulated things. What's worse, after those injuries, he has developed a new standard of putting players of court: age orders. That's the only explanation I could come up with for putting Steamer there first, then Ajinca and Withey at last. Maybe that's also why Brian Roberts is start now. Is there an least average age limit in NBA rules that I didn't notice?
I blame Monty for ruining this site. Rabble Rabble!
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"
