    Pelicans Pre-Season schedule includes...

Surprisingly, I havent seen any news on the Pelicans pre-season schedule..I would assume that sources are tying up loose ends..but in putting on my investigative hat, by that I mean "google-ing" other teams' announced pre-season schedules, here is what I found..

    10/5 Rockets (Houston, TX)
    10/9 Magic (Jacksonville, FL)
    10/17 Thunder (Tulsa, OK)
    10/19 Wizards (Lexington, KY)
    10/23 Heat (New Orleans, LA)
    10/25 Magic (Orlando, FL)

    GO PELICANS!!

I was looking at some of the 12 game plans yesterday and saw that the "Superstar Plan" includes that Heat preseason game. Classy.

So I assume Arena upgrade plan for this summer will be completed by 10/23? Any updates on how these have gone?

  6. #6
It will never be finished in time.

I saw that and did a double take. Also, are those plans really on sale? I hit continue and the message says they are not.

I got the same thing. I was actually going to buy one of the weekend plans, but it said they were unavailable. The half-season plans were, though.

Home game vs. Heat highlights Pelicans preseason

Through a multi-year agreement between the two franchises, the New Orleans Pelicans and Miami Heat alternate hosting the other each NBA preseason. The arrangement benefited New Orleans in 2012 in the form of a preseason ESPN national TV game at Miami.

This year, the deal means the Heat are coming back to the Crescent City in October, as they also did in 2010. The defending two-time NBA champions will face the Pelicans in the renovated New Orleans Arena at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It’s the only home game New Orleans will play in its building during the 2013 preseason. The other seven games will take place in seven different cities. In addition to the home tilt vs. the Heat, here are a few other things to note about the Pelicans’ eight-game preseason slate:

They are on the radio is most cases.

As far as the Arena goes, they have to be ready by mid-October. They added more labor a few weeks ago, so it'll be done enough by then. Will every closet be painted by then (made up example)? Maybe not. But it'll be ready.

LMAO that someone gets banned from tigerdroppings and ends up here. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite?

You would think so. That board is turning into a cesspool of morons, anyway. There are around 6 good, regular posters, then a couple dozen screaming idiots. They basically resort to insults in any disagreement. When they insult me, I just return the favor. You can only kick so many rabid chihuahuas before some chump admin bans you without reading the thread, apparently.

42 even warned me when I signed up here, but considering that "call-outs" get dealt with here, I won't have a problem. If they had decent admins/mods over there that deleted the constant personal attacks, it would be a much better forum. The mods over there will start a personal argument with you only to ban you for responding. Their resident Flop City mod is a perfect example of the problems with the way that site is run. He actually banned me for talking bad about the Clippers on a Hornets (it was Hornets at the time) board.

Only one game in the Arena? Oh well. Will they do a fan bus trip to Biloxi?

I guess the Kentucky game is a part of Kentucky's Big Blue Madness weekend.

Just arrived at Kentucky's Big Blue Madness. Anthony Davis has already received a couple standing ovations just walking by side of court

Anthony Davis has delivered on endless photo requests since I've been here at Big Blue Madness. Great kid. #bbn

Calipari had ex-UK players from Pelicans and Wizards flip a coin to see who gets to use Cats' locker room tomorrow, New Orleans wins.

New Orleans Pelicans watched UK practice today. Anthony Davis, Darius Miller, Tyreke Evans, Austin Rivers, Eric Gordon all in attendance.

Should be a sold out game with Wildcats fans wanting to see their former stars. Question is who will they be rooting for?
