Depends on what they would want. They may be happy with a nice TPE by sending them a low cost asset like Roberts.

What are the odds that the Pelicans can't replace Lopez with a player equal in ability to Lopez? I would think that's a pretty good chance. Vasquez, while good, is a luxury piece and I can accept him being moved, but I'm concerned that replacing Lopez with a satisfactory center will be more difficult.

That would have to be done by July 5th. Can't trade Lopez until the 10th.

Pelicans can cut Lopez, but a team trading for Lopez can not. His deal will be guaranteed by then
His contract is still more valuable then GVs

Every time I fall in love with the Tyreke signing, some hazy news comes out about Sac maybe resigning him.

Every time I resign myself to a Tyreke-less fate, rumors abound that they won't match.

    kings plz

The second Tyreke agrees to that offer, you have to trade Lopez for space. Even if you find out 10 minutes later that the Kings will match. Gotta clear space to give him that offer sheet.

If you move Lopez or waive him, then Kings match Tyreke, you are left there holding the bag. Lose Lopez and get nothing in return.

Too risky. Hope Dell is on the phone right now, working out a S&T
Sign and trade who? Lopez in a separate deal to open up space or Lopez in the sac deal?

You are getting rid of Lopez regardless. No way to keep him. Only way is if you sacrifice Vasquez and either Jason Smith or Rivers.

I think Dell is more found of Rivers or Smith than Lopez, so that is why he is gone.

I said that is as high as I would go. If push came to shove and Kings would match unless I include Lopez.

I would prefer just giving them Roberts or even Vasquez, then move Lopez in a seperate deal, but if I had to, I would give them a slow footed big who can't rebound to get this deal done

IMO that is too much for a team that probably isn't going to match. We would essentially be giving them Lopez for free. They are bluffing us and I hope Demps isn't stupid enough to fall for it.

The alternative being that they aren't bluffing, and they match...and then we are in some trouble.

We wouldnt be in trouble, we would have the cap space to sign someone else. This signing is not going to make or break us.

You also gotta factor in that the longer Evans tiptoes around the more targets we mis out on. Gotta play it smart.

is Yardbarker a site that you can put your trust in? or, have I missed this being reported already? I personally have my doubts, but they have reported that Evans signed the offer sheet we extended to him.... Pulling the iggy deal doesn't help us get TE.

Just can't see sac wanting to make tat move with new direction.

    i saw that too

Tyreke Evans Welcome to day two of NBA free agency. Check out some of the moves being made. Kings point guard Tyreke Evans has reportedly agreed to a 4-year offer from the New Orleans Pelicans worth between $40 million and $44 million.

Until I see it said by Woj or Marc Stein, not gonna buy it. Never even heard of Yardbarker.

    I have to think we're discussing a S&T.

Maybe, but if we are backed into a corner on July 5 with teams knowing we have to unload him, we are going to get pennies on the dollar or be stuck buying him out for $500,000.

That's not a bad worse case scenario, buy him out and gain 4.5mil mil in cap space. But my preference would be to keep Lopez.

It seems the only logical solution. Benefit both sides. We get what we want and they get something for their trouble.

There won't be any targets left worth anything on the 13th. We'll have to look for trades.
