Can someone give me a brief update on the iggy and sacremento deal? Sac pulled it?

What does iggy have on the table right now?

Sac pulled the offer for Iggy.
Rumor is Tyreke could sign our offer today.

    Kings pulled offer from Iggy.

Supposedly a 5 year 63mil deal from Denver but that hasn't be confirmed by their FO

Only offer TE has is from us, 4 year 44mil

And if the above poster is correct, with Tyreke possibly signing our offer as soon as today, what is the likelihood of the Kings matching since they've pulled their offer from AI?

Sacramento pulled their offer for Iggy.

I've read Denver offered Iggy 5 years 63 million, although I haven't really heard much from national reports on that.

We offered him 4 years 44 million if the reports are correct. I've heard the Kings think 9 million a year is the right price for him, but I haven't heard anything about an offer from them.

You gotta work a S&T with Kings. Too risky not to.

The second Tyreke agrees to that offer, you have to trade Lopez for space. Even if you find out 10 minutes later that the Kings will match. Gotta clear space to give him that offer sheet.

If you move Lopez or waive him, then Kings match Tyreke, you are left there holding the bag. Lose Lopez and get nothing in return.

Too risky. Hope Dell is on the phone right now, working out a S&T

The Kings must want a sign and trade. This is sooo strenuous. I need to meditate or some ****....

Could we just give them Lopez in a sign and trade or would they not want him?

I would think they have been talking S&T for a while now. Most teams want something (even if it creates a nice TPE) if they know they are going to lose a RFA anyway.

  17. #1792
I would go as high as offering Lopez and Roberts in a S&T. Use Vasquez to trade for a SF or C. Use room exception to trade for the other piece.

  18. #1793
Yeah I don't see how this doesn't turn into a sign and trade. It doesn't seem like the Kings really want Evans back, but they have a chance to get assets in return for letting him walk.

I'd be pissed if we cut/traded Lopez and ended up not getting Evans because the Kings matched.

Honestly I woulndn't offer any more than GV, Lopez' contract is more valuable and the kings are going to lose Evans for nothing if they do not match.

GV is more valuable on the open market.

I don't see it. Lopez is a starting caliber center on a great contract, and teams needing to clear space could buy him out for just 500k.

  23. #1798
I guess the worst case scenario is:

You trade Lopez, let's say for a 2015 lottery protected 1st rounder.
    Sign Tyreke, they match
Have $10 million in cap room right as you start to get real value on FA's who didn't get signed early on.

Plus, you could have Vasquez play the super sub role or use him in a trade.

Not the worst worse case scenario I suppose.

    Still - do the S&T!

    Actually they can't.

That would have to be done by July 5th. Can't trade Lopez until the 10th.

Pelicans can cut Lopez, but a team trading for Lopez can not. His deal will be guaranteed by then

Demps got this. He has a plan and already thought of the worse case scenario before we offered Evans the 44mil.
