Thread: Pelicans to meet with Tyreke Evans (offer has been made)

  1. #1551
Why would Tyreke want to go back there, I if monies are equal which they are in this instance, they why would you not go for the team with the most potential not only to when a championship sooner but one that seems to be all around better (probably subjective).

  2. #1552
Oh I did misread that lol

  3. #1553
tyreke would have to be a fool to pick mclemore and cousins over jrue and AD.

If that's the case it is purely just to dump Gordon's salary and IMO having Deng for one season doesn't accomplish much.
Getting Deng fixes our SF situation THIS year, and allows us freedom next year.

not sarcastic at all, if u were tyreke would u rather play next to an all star PG who will make u better in jrue holliday, or someone who could bust in mclemore. would u rather play with AD, someone who will guard ur back on the defensive side and a hard worker, proven winner, or a headcase in cousins.

    Guilty.... LOL

No I agree 100%. I think we probably don't sign anyone else in free agency. I think we sign a few guys off the summer league squad and then what ever assets we receive in the Vasquez and Lopez deals will fill out this roster.

People said the same about Gordon picking the Suns over the Hornets. And yet...

i really hope we get brewer, he is only 27, in his prime, and improving his jumpshot, he could be our 3 and D guy and perfect fit, he also scored 18ppg in 36 minutes, wow.

I know that I am just stirring.
However you did want to have both AD & Cousinson the same team at the 4 and 5.
Don't get me wrong so would I.

Just worked this trade out that I think would possibly be amenable to all parties if the Nuggets resign Iggy and the Kings don't match the Hornets offer on Evans. Granted we would need C but that would probably be the smallest area of concern if got a quality SF and shed salary.

If you will excuse me, I have to go return some video tapes.

The Sacramento Kings have made Denver Nuggets swingman Andre Iguodala their free-agent priority, according to sources familiar with Sacramento's thinking. Sources told ESPN.com the Kings, meanwhile, are leaning strongly against matching the offer sheet restricted free agent Tyreke Evans is planning to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans on July 10.

He better let us know before the 5th so we can unload Lopez. I'd give him a deadline.
