Thread: Pelicans to meet with Tyreke Evans (offer has been made)

  1. #826
    Now it's $48 million?!

  2. #827
I'm not sure if I believe it's that much. If it was, he would have agreed then and there. I think 44 is the max we offer him.

  3. #828
Seems like no one really knows.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

The New Orleans Pelicans' offer sheet to Tyreke Evans is four years and $48 million, according to @sam_amick. Wow.

WHAT THE **** MAKE IT STOP
    No!!!!!!!!!! Lolol

  5. #830
Here's a recently published article saying it's 4 years/$40 million, and he's coming off the bench at SF.

God help us if we are giving Tyreke Evans 48 million. I was upset with 4/40, now I'm PISSED at 4/48. Dell has lost his mind

I wonder if they can trade Gordon cleanly to a team with the cap space and maybe sign all 3 of Evans, Iggy and Budinger.

You could play Budinger basically whenever any of Jrue, Iggy or Evans sit because all 3 can defend 1-3 in stretches and handle the ball.

Would solve a lot of floor spacing issues. Budinger in that role essentially becomes our real 6th man (since I consider RYNO more of a "starter" since he plays more than Lopez).

Maybe his agent is leaking the numbers to drive up other offers... IDK

Why did my professor assign a test during the first two days of free agency.

I really can't see Dell going that high, especially with Loomis looking over his shoulder. Loomis is famous for setting a number and not budging. I'm more than sure he is preaching this approach to Dell right now.

His numbers last season were pretty good. If he signed him a year ago to this, then I'd be with you.

    48 does seem extreme.

Hopefully we have a deal lined up with a cost-effective SF.

That's a ton and is overpaying, but I don't mind it.

We need to stop outbidding ourselves... Who the **** has that much capspace that is interested in him?

If the offer is actually 4 yrs 48 million it's time to get a new GM

  18. #843

All the teams that are bringing him in including his current team who can match the contract. Since he's a RFA, this has to be a strategic offer. Has to be more than what other teams will offers including Sacramento.

I absolutely would mind. That's an absurd price for Evans, absolutely ridiculous.

I thought 4/40 was a little high, but I would be ok with. I would not be ok with this offer. I hope those numbers are incorrect.

    Pistons, I guess.

Man twitter is killing the Pelicans for offering Evans 10+ mil a year. The "general" public seemed to like the addition of Jrue.

  24. #849
how is 11 million for a 23 year old guard who is capable of 20-6-5 too much?

  25. #850
I want Evans... The price is a frightening factor though
