    You and me both.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

To give their young PG competition or at the very least have a capable backup.

Yeah, plus you can't dismiss the culture change they want there. Vasquez is a fiery guy with leadership skills and solid work ethich. Could help Malone get through to some of the youngins'

Poison pill contracts are averaged out over the entire length of the contract, except if the original team matches. So Lin and Asik are both making 8.3 a year, but if Knicks or Chicago would matched they would of owed them 15+ million next year.

You might wanna sit tight with nice bottle of wine good sir, if the reports of him wanting to do his "due diligence" have any merit too them, he's got a ton of diligence to make with lol

Another thing to keep in mind: There is NO WAY Dell put an offer on the table for Tyreke without an agreement with Kings in place that they will do a sign and trade.

If Tyreke says yes and a deal with Kings isn't in place, Dell has to what until the 13th to see if he gets his guy. Then, what if Kings match? Dell would have all that money left and all the big fish will be gone.

So if they are only making 8.3 next year why does sites like HH listing them at 15 for the 2014/2015 season?

Don't have the details in front of me, but isn't GV only about $2,000,000 a year? I though we had nearly $7 million in cap space (and could renounce cap holds and cut Thomas giving us $8-$8.5 million. Anything more than that is overpaying Evans anyway IMO. However, I guess if they are sold that he is the answer, they would be willing to trade GV for him in a S&T. I just figured GV had more value than as a throw in as a salary in a S&T.

So if Reke says yes to us, it's gonna happen FAST.

This is the best offseason ever

Yeah but aren't they both trash defensively, how does it solve that issue?

Both are good backups. It's not like Vasquez would play the 3, they are loaded at that position.

We have 5.9 in space. GV counts as 2.1

W/O GV in trade, it is about a 4 year/25 mil offer. With GV, you ar elooking at 4/36-ish. Let Roberts, Thomas, and Terrell Harris off books and you are getting to about 4/40

Thanks, However, if we do that, does that only allow for minimum players to fill the roster?

Last thing to keep in mind: final day to waive Lopez is the 5th.

If Pelicans plan on signing Iggy or even Tyreke if they really did offer 11 mil per, they would have to shed Lopez.

I am guessing Dell is telling these guys he needs an answer by then

We would still have the room exception, which is basically a 2 year/6 million dollar deal. But yeah, basically minimum players after that

That shouldn't be a problem. Those guys are minimum salary types. I'm fine with dumping GV as well.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Or PErhaps Lopez could be a part of a S&T for Reke.

We should not waive Lopez. We would have no starting center. Would rather S&T him.

I also would rather have the current players on the roster start the season instead of adding iggy/evans and having Smith or some min contract guy start at Center.

I would hope we do not release Lopez. Who would play the 5 (especially with no cap room remaining). He is a serviceable young center at a reasonable price.

Not sure but spotrac has it listed as 8.3, and they are way more accurate than HH. There are links in this thread to articles about it. Sorry I don have one, but I'm sure u can google it.

Let's not forget Dwight Howard is coming into our division. We had better not get rid of Lopez. We need at least one big body down low.

Because it's HoopsHype and it's just one site.
