So Evans and Gordon and Holiday on the court at the same time? 3 ball dominate players? Meh. Please I don't want Reke.
I'm more worried about the contract at this point more than the fit. Getting good players on good contracts is never a bad thing, even if the fit is questionable. Overpaying questionable fits is always a bad thing.
There's a difference between being ball dominant and having to carry a team. All three played on awful teams for the past 2 years (unless you think the 2012 6ers were good) and had to shoulder the load for their respective team. None have ever been on a team with another player who can create his own shot and create shots for others so we really have no idea how they would coexist. Personally I would be more than happy to take that risk.
Why do people think Jrue and Gordon are ball dominant. Both excelled in off the ball roles earlier in their careers. They took more ball dominant approaches because that's what the coaches told them their team needed. Both have said this in interviews.
Who cares, his a major upgrade at the 3 , Aminu made 4 three pointers last season and you guys are complaining about a guy who can't shoot? Im pretty sure Tyreke made about 50 last year and is improving. Robin lopez can make more than 4 threes playing SF.
Could likely resign aminu if you get Evans for the right price. This would solve the who guards Durant question.
I wonder what Dell is gonna tell Tyreke.. heh.
I just wonder how much he got offered. 10 million per season?
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
It does seem like a lot of guys to have whose games are predicated on going iso, but at least Holiday and EJ have shown a penchant for playing off the ball.
It's also a pretty great problem to have.
Monty has said a few times that they don't look at players as a "position". Just thing we'll have 3 dudes that can start a P/R with as well as create off the dribble. If Reke had a consistent jumper like Jrue and EG they'd be a sick trio.
Why did I think Iggy was 6'8?
Well two highlights of his:
Ripped Westbrook clean then drove the fastbreak and laid it up.
Took Westbrook one-on-one with a spin move for another layup.
The man has stolen my heart.![]()
Dell's trying to luck out on the first date. Pelicans Report patiently awaits.
