I think most of us are missing the point of Guru posting this. I don't think he did it for everyone to guess who it was, but to tell everyone that things in the locker room may not be all roses. I know it happens in every locker room but when a coach loses some of the players AND the team blows, well that's just a recipe for disaster.

I don't think anyone thought the locker room was all roses. When you have Gordon, FO and coaches calling out players after bad losses, that locker room never had a chance.

It seemed every week Monty kept talking about how the Guard play was horrible.

Doesn't surprise me. Monty does not mind throwing his players under the bus in the media. That can't sit well with the players.

I get it... some players don't like Monty's old school style. One thing you can't say is that they "quit on him"... they played hard until the very end, so to say that Monty has "lost the locker room" is complete garbage.

I'd go further to say that this player that talked to Guru may not be a "core player", and won't be on the team this year.

I would expect it wouldn't be all roses after 2 straight bottom 5 finishes. The only guys that should be happy are guys that see themselves with a future on the team when it gets good. Monty threw a lot of players under the bus at the end of the year. I'm expecting a good bit of turnover.

Some players deserve it, and he very rarely singles players out. Usually, though, he'll praise our guys. Monty was a player for a long time, so I'm not worried about his ability to handle his guys, especially since he is so young and can still relate to them.

As far as the OP goes, I appreciate the info. Anything is better than nothing, and it's a take it or leave it type thing, so nobody should be upset at the anonymity of it all. That said, I think it's a good thing that some players are disgruntled. If Monty is getting on a few players' nerves, that means he's doing his job. If everyone loves him, then he isn't pushing hard enough. There were times I hated my coaches growing up, but when you step away from it, you see they were just trying to pull the best out of you. Monty is a good guy at heart, so I can't see them hating him for his attitude, rather, it's likely how hard he coaches, which is a positive.

This whole thread is a hoax.

HornetGuru just wanted to create another thread, so he figured he'd give us some "insider info" and then not really tell us.

I talked to CP the other day. He hates Del Negro and the Clippers organization. Look for big changes this summer.

Also, the main ingredient missing, is what you said to "said player" to provoke such response from this "player."
    hahahahaha

I think the players would be too professional to saying anything like that.

Being player's coach doesn't mean you will be loved by each and every player you come into contact with. Some people are just d-bags or just don't know what it means to work hard ya know?

This coming from only a couple un-named players, most likely scrubs, means you should change your thread title.

    Looooong summer.

What we know is this... it's NOT Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers and Ryan Anderson, i don't believe it's Aminu either, because coming from L.A., he got no minutes, coming here and playing for Monty has probably saved him, and his career from ending up in the lottery pick graveyard.

My point is, if it's not the first 3, they don't matter and don't count. If Monty lost that particular player, he's probably on his way out of the league. Nobody else on this team can afford to have that sentiment.

This team is again, a high lottery team. The problem isn't the coach and his philosophy, which are still developing, so my issues with him, i keep in proper perspective, the problem is that, for the exception of a handful of legitimate Nba players, everybody else SUCKS, and need to be replaced.

So for who ever it was... the D, Euro, and Chinese leagues' arms are wide open, and awaiting.

That's pretty naive. Is there no one at your work that complains about the boss?

i dont know why people think i would be lying. i didnt just wake up today and say u know what imma lie and tell people on a forum that a bench player doesnt like the head coach, ya that'll be fun lol.

Aminu didn't get his option picked up, his future with the organization is questionable, and he was benched for several games. He's a prime suspect.

Come on guy. You had to know this info would be welcomed by all sorts of criticism. Whether true or not, it has gotten the board talking on a Thursday when there are no games and not much going on Pelicans related. Call it a win and keep it moving...
