Oh come on and get this crap over with. Don't call anymore timeouts.

I'm sick of seeing two Hornets players chasing one non all-star opponent. Then it's way out on the perimeter.

    Miami.

And I'm sure Monty practices off-ball stuff with our guys. But practice doesn't mean they will be good at it. I bet Aminu shoots a thousand jumpers every day, but he is still terrible at it.

I've been saying this all year. They haven't gotten any better. Coach not riding their *** for failure to do so.

You might as well stop watching then cuz that's what we do.

In other news.... Boston is trying hard to break the Heat's win streak. Will they accomplish it?

Aminu can practice that broken jumper for 1,000 years and still be terrible. Just like this defense, it's structurally broken to begin with. The offense they run doesn't fit the personnel either.

Every defense is structurally broken when you put guys like Vasquez, Lopez, Mason, etc etc etc on the court.

Aside from Anthony Davis (and maybe AFA)... who on our team actually plays "defense"? Maybe Gordon but he was off tonight.

What kind of offense do you suggest when we don't have multiple guys who are multi-faceted on offense and no one who can free themselves or others up?

Aminu, when he doesn't have mental lapses. Lopez, but he is slow. Miller, but he fouls too much. Etc. Etc.

I guarantee Aminu, Lopez and Henry will NOT be brought back. I want them off the team so bad. At the same time, I feel sorry for Xavier. The dude can't even get in during garbage time and he's been here 2 years. Smh......

I agree. Its more about the talent. Outside of Davis and Aminu, most of the guys are below average defensively.

Fact is, this team needs Davis to develop into a 5, a healthy Gordon, Rivers developing, and hitting a home run in next year's draft. That's alot of ifs.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Very fast paced and find the first good open shot. This team is dreadful in a half court setting.

The point of setting multiple picks and constant movement is to free up players who otherwise can't do it themselves. I'd take my chances with that long before I ask said players to run iso with 5 seconds on the shot clock. I'm sick of hearing that guy yell "threeeeee". GV should not be dribbling the air out of the ball so much.

But we can't jump shoot well and it would just lead to fast break runouts which we are even worse at on defense.

E: we also lack the ball handlers to play that fast

Yes, but our screens are terrible and create no separation. Lopez is the only one that sets good screens but we don't want him in the game for a multitude of other reasons.

Setting screens are fundamental and falls on the coaching. As much as we think they suck these are still NBA players not AAU.

We need an infusion of talent before anybody is gonna take us seriously.

We have a decent PG that can score and assist but is too slow to guard 90% of the PGs in the NBA.
We have a "could be elite" SG that doesn't get enough shots because his PG shoots too much.
We have a SF that can't score, but CAN defend sometimes.
We have a young budding super star at the 4 that rolls to the basket for nothing because his PGs are pounding the rock up top.
We have a 5 that was a solid contributor but now is nowhere to be found.
Our bench has 2 NBA players and a bunch of D-leaguers.

We're not supposed to win many games with this roster. I'm not sure what some folks' expectations are but apparently they're too high for some.

Anderson isn't quick enough to roll or pop off the screen and Davis hasn't learned how to use his size or doesn't have the strength to set a strong one. Lopez isn't quick but uses his huge frame well.

Lopez would be leagues better in the PnR if his hands weren't made of hard rubber that causes balls to careen wildly out of bounds when he receives anything other than the softest passes.
