Yes. Comprehension. How you lack it is astounding. He says, "through our sources with TBW". That does not mean he is claiming TBW as a source or any other fan blog. He is saying through sources that TBW has.
You are stretching so hard to try and make this point that no one has sources claiming this but that is very clearly exactly what Fisher is saying.
I see some are still arguing about Tyreke? Last time I checked, he is still on this team. I just don't see any benefit in dumping or stretching Tyreke, especially with the way Buddy has looked in the first half of these summer league games lol. That would be a dumb move to make for a team that had huge injury concerns last season. I can't believe a fan would want to get rid of a potential 15/5/5 guy that can play 3 positions for a team that struggled with depth last year. With the way Buddy has struggled thus far, he may be better coming off the bench as a rookie. He needs to earn that starting spot and he should be out E'twaun Moore with a hand tied behind his back. I much rather Tyreke and him battle for the starting 2 guard spot! I sure hope they just don't give it to him, he struggle early and lose confidence early in the season.
Are you seriously trying to project Buddy's rookie season based on summer league? Can't be.
He's just too short huh?
Would love for Fisher to clarify.
All offseason David and the Bird Writes has written about offseason possibilities, frequently discussing the possibility of trading Tyreke for cap space. He's even tweeted about various scenarios involving trading Tryreke to create cap space. As recently as 4 days ago, this has been the narrative they've been driving. If a Pelicans source has told David/TBW that Tyreke is untradeable and they've considered stretching him… what the hell have they been talking about the past few weeks?! There isn't a single blog on that site or a tweet from David saying Tyreke has no value and is untradeable according to sources or even according to word on the street.
Literally everything I can find online, traces back to speculation on twitter from people with sources who were very careful not to cite sources and to try and tell everyone that their thoughts were only a guess.
So if my comprehension is off, I'd certainly love to be pointed in the direction of a clarification and will happily concede this point! As long as it remains a FACT that there is literally no one with established connections (i.e. a beat reporter like Dawson or Kush; someone who has broken news previously) within the Pelicans doing anything other than speculating about Dell attempting to dump Tyreke for no return and being unable to, I will NEVER CONCEDE!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enough already. Stop trying to split hairs. Whether they tried to dump him for nothing is irrelevant. I think both of you agree they tried to trade him and were unsuccessful. Agree on that and move on. This has dominated the thread and any discussion for long enough.
Diallo has potential
Worried a little about buddy, only because we need him to be better to win.
That's reading way into his words. Just said he's been through it. Could mean he's finished or he's still recovering. Either way, no way to gleam some kind of a timetable.
You don't need to read into anyone. Just look at the moves we've made:
Drafted Hield
Signed Hill
Signed Moore
Signed Galloway
Re-signed Frazier
Depth Chart:
Jrue/Reke/Galloway/Frazier
Buddy/Reke/Moore
Hill/Reke/QPon/Cunningham?
Reke is totally expendable due to the signings we've made. Hes better individually than anyone we've signed, but how sour is Gentry really with his playstyle?
I think it all points to Reke being shopped, hence the rumblings around the media. But the only thing that will really help us and make sense is getting a starting C in return.

Dell is on record saying he invisions Tyreke playing SF.
QPon is coming off of injuries.
Many people say Hill would be best at small ball 4.
Tyreke could also be in worse shape than was last reported and never play basketball again. Also possible.
When did Dell say that? When we signed Reke? That experiment failed.
Hill is a small ball 4 situationally at best, and if all we wanted was insurance for QPon then Ennis for 6mil a year cheaper than Hill would have sufficed.
The direction is pretty clear, Reke isn't in a long term plan, the only missing piece is the stretch big. We're tryna find a trade partner.
Happy to be wrong, but that's the most obvious direction.
Agree that Tyreke isn't in the long term plan, but I expect him to be on the roster this season and if he's healthy he'll play.
This team has been so ravaged by injuries in the backcourt that we've never had the opportunity to see Tyreke in the role Dell invisioned. After Tyreke's first year, Dell said he'd like to see him play SF.
Given our roster construction, if Tyreke is healthy, the logical place he'll get minutes is small forward. Long term Dell will either trade him for an asset or let him expire and move on.
I think everybody can make an assumption that Dell has discussed stretching Reke and every ther option he has with him. That's his job and I would be upset if he didn't discuss every available option to try and make this team better as he should do with every player that doesn't have the initials AD. This still has not been reported anywhere but just talked about assuming like we most do. I think we are trying to trade him as well but there has been nothing to back that up that I have seen.
I think he will play more like Livingston hopefully but maybe a healthy mix of both. Will likely play a different position not running the point as Livingston but I think he's capable of playing in that role. Livingtson offers no 3 pointer where Reke actually does helping space a little more. Livingston does have a knock down mid ranger which Reke doesn't but both have their own skill set. If he's on the roster when camp starts I believe Livingston/Iggy will be a role he plays and with a year to learn the system while having this summer and camp for Gentry to install his role should help a lot. Of course it's not a minor adjustment he needs to make but I wouldn't consider it something he can't do.
They signed all those guards because most of them can play on the court together. And also, and obviously, both Tyreke AND Jrue have injury concerns going forward. The team does not want to have to sign guys off the street mid season yet again. This way they all go through training camp together, injury or no injury.
I've been of the opinion of the team "actively" trying to unload Reke as nothing but fan/blog rumor for months now. And logically it makes no sense because even if they were, what are you going to get back for someone still rehabbing after missing more than 2/3 of last season?
Also, Tyreke is a "wing" player. That doesn't necessarily mean he has to play the "3". He can be a 1 on offense and switch among wings 1-3 on defense.
Dell very well might dump him eventually but as I said with just dumping Ryno that sends a bad signal. Let's other teams know you will just fold for anything when you have a player on the block instead of actually sticking true and trying to get actual value. Trading Ryno just to get somebody would have been a terrible idea IMO. People can throw out what someone said we could maybe have gotten but none of that is a fact. I don't see the rush with moving Reke. If it is about him being injured to other team then ok wait until he hits the floor and they can see he actually moves. Wait until a team desperately needs a PG/SG/SF because of injury to their playoff team or needing that extra player to give them a boost. I don't think we were every trying to "dump" Reke for nothing and if that's the case I think it would have been done by now. Like I said we might eventually do that but as of now I see no reason to.
Second @lockedonpels episode today: What we know — and what we don’t — about Tyreke Evans. https://t.co/bu2kW7OutI

Clarity?
(I'll just sit here and wait for folks to listen and then explain to me how any of what I've been saying has been wrong)
That would be awesome but Reke doesn't have the same BB IQ as Livingston. Although he is bigger and more talent, he doesn't move the ball like Livingston. That's been he's biggest problem with the Pelicans. Gentry has said it multiple times that the ball doesn't move when Reke runs the offense and he tends to play hero ball. That's why it's the worst kept secret that they are going to try to move him. You will almost never hear a GM say we are trying to trade a guy but it everyone is reporting it then it must be true.
Tyreke missed training camp last year, which is why he didn't do well in Gentry's system.
More Gentry from season ending press conference...
Quote:
Gentry said Evans was forced to learn his offense on the fly because he missed most of training camp after undergoing surgery on his right knee to remove bone chips that forced him to miss the first 17 games of the season.
''We had a small sample size,'' Gentry said. ''He never had an opportunity to go through training camp. So we just rushed in, and said, 'Ok', now this is way we play. I think he had some great moments and I think he struggled some.
''I think all of the pieces have to be out there before you can make any evaluation if this piece fits, or this piece does not fit. I think we really never established a pace that we wanted to play with. That was mainly because of the injury situation that we had to adjust to as coaches.''
Yea I agree for the most part. I'm just looking for the best case scenario in how we try to use him and what he can do. I think a mix between Livingston/Iggy would be perfect. Reke has the ability and enough BB IQ to alter his game a little bit and move the ball. Would like to see him cut to the rim a little more off ball and even some catch and shoot at the 3. If he would just commit to a little change in his game for 1 season we could have a very valuable player who could still put up nice numbers and actually give us an asset at the deadline if not moved before the season. With all the new players I just don't see any minutes for Reke. I think he's going to be another teams problem trying to get a little more ball movement out of him.
My guess is that he and Ajinca will end up traded for Greg Monroe at some point.
jrue
buddy
hill
ad
monroe
great blend of offense and defense
Jrue/Galloway/Frazier
Buddy/Moore
Hill/Q-pon
AD/Jones/Cunningham
Monroe/Asik
I absolutely love it.
Man I would freaking love to add Monroe to go along with Jones. That again makes us more versatile getting a big who can play both the 4 and 5. Monroe could play alongside AD, Jones, Asik, Ajinca, and any other player we have. I would hope Asik would be on the way out and Ajinca staying. Monroe has a year less on his deal than Asik which would be nice having the $ available a year earlier. IMO Monroe would fit so well in Gentrys system and compliment our roster very well. If we make this move I give us an A+ this offseason. So much potential in this roster with just about everyone still being in a position to keep improving.
Yes this would be incredible but I would much rather Asik go out over Ajinca. Don't want that much $ tied into our centers. Would be one hell of a versatile roster with depth and talent we have never had.
Yea I'm forgetting about our 1st round pick next year. Would love to get another SF or C. If we can hit on that pick along with the guys we have now and find another solid FA this team can be serious contenders. Just about every player we have can still make big improvements in their game. Jrue is someone in very excited to see finally having a summer to work on his game and be 100% healthy. He's entering his prime and should have the best basketball of his career ahead of him. I think he mite win the most improved player award.
now imagine cp3 comes back when he expires to be home and be with Davis
cp3
buddy

championship.
Just a crazy prediction I have but... I think CP3 will eventually be traded for Kyrie and Melo traded for Love. Gets Lebron the 2 guys he wants to play with while they want to play with him as well. I think CP3 and Melo are at the point in their careers they could care less where they play and if it's in Cleveland fine they just want to win. They go to a coach and front office who have won a ring. Only way for them to have a legit chance at taking down the Warriors is by teaming up. Irving was great being a big reason the Cavs won but he is no CP3 and Lebron knows that as well. If the Clippers feel like CP3 won't resign they can get a damn good player in return with Irving. I think Melo for Love is the most likely to happen but I just envision all of them teaming up and Cleveland has the ammo to get those deals done.
I think between Jrue, Buddy and AD we will have enough scorers. Monroe is a great offensive talent. But I don't like the fit.
Douglas isn't on the Pelicans anymore.
Tyreke evans is trying to get traded, it's so obvious.
Constantly posting about how healthy he is right now. His trying to influence other GMS to trade for him, advertising his healthy profile.
