Don't think they'll have much of a choice when Boogie tells them he wants a trade.
If Boston ends up with a top pick, they can put together an unholy package they won't be able to say no to.

Lakers are winning the lotto, so all of this is obsolete.
I would do it in a heartbeat.
Grab Dunn and Buddy, or Bender and Buddy, or Dunn and Bender, or etc. 2 is better then one imo. Philly would do that trade too. The talent drop of from top two is big, but i cant past up 2 potential all stars for the price of a potential franchise player.
Whats better? Franchise player and three all stars, vs 2 Franchise players and one all star ? The Thunder (2 franchise players) or the Warriors ( 1 franchise player + 3 all stars) ??
You are not assigning percentages of likely success to the all stars being all stars and the franchise players being franchise players. Would rather a 25% chance at a franchise player/60% chance of allstar than two 25% chances at allstars/60% chance at role players.
Wouldn't it be illegal to rig the lottery for specific teams? And if so, why wait as long as they did to "rig" it for us? Yeah, for Katrina? So tired of insane conspiracy theories...

Nice piece by McNamara on BSS. What do people think about these options? They sound good to me, it'd be great to take on or two of these guy as projects but I just don't see Dell taking keeping the two second rounders.
Exactly. You can't have this many people a part of the process to all stay quiet forever. Way to many people are involved when they draw the lotto balls. There have been some times where it has worked out perfect but also a lot more times where things didn't go right for teams that needed something. If the Lakers get the 1st pick this year somehow it will be "rigged" lol. Not like having the 2nd worst team matters at all.
If we traded 2nd pick for 3rd and 4th, I'd work hard to trade one of them for a stud like Butler (I'd even throw in a next year one but they have to take Asik) then take either Buddy or Murray with the other pick. Then we would have max money to throw at anyone and they would consider coming here with that talent. Jrue, Butler, and Davis should entice anyone especially since they won't have to be under paid to come make a super team. Even Lebron or Durant would love this team. Damn that is a nice team without the draft pick. LOL
If Butler was somehow on the block I think I'd make most any move except Simmons and maybe Ingram. 2 First, Evans, and either Asik or Ajinca for Butler and their 1st this year should be enough if not throw in some seconds.
Love is not real,
And you guys are soooo gullable. There no way in hell I trust NBA owners. Lakers arw winning. I'm betting my student debt on it. If the Lakers do not win the lotto, I will conform to a public and PR shame for a week. That's how sure I am.
Ok and who cares if they win it and why would it somehow be rigged because they are 1st? They have the 2nd best odds so what is so unbelievable if they win it? Why didn't they win it last year and get Towns? Don't you think the Lakers would have gotten the 1st pick last year with the TWolves still getting a good pick at 2nd if it was rigged? No the only thing that count towards a rig is when it benefits a team. The few years you can point to being rigged to help some team you can find way more that don't work in their favor.
I just don't want Minny to get top 3.
Everyone else is bad enough that I couldn't care less.
Yea if I have the chance at Simmons or Ingram I keep it. Makes no sense to trade your 2nd pick for two picks just to get Butler. Might as well just trade Ingram who they would make the trade for. I don't move Ingram for Butler though and the only player I would consider who is realistic would be Paul George. If we get the 3rd pick I would move it and next years 1st plus guys like you said for Butler. We would be in win now mode with the ability to still add another stud player to our big 3.
this may have some consequences of our draft possibilities
Brown - may give us chance on Murray/Dunn/Hield
Rabb - I we will trade down - give us chance for a better prospect (he might be selected in the lottery - doesn't fits our needs)
Hearing from multiple sources Ivan Rabb @YoungIvee leaning towards returning to Cal for soph season. Jaylen Brown @FCHWPO deadline decision
