First I doubt they would give the 3rd and 4th pick but you never know. Second the only player I want is Simmons, everyone else I can take em or leave em, so I keep the pick and take Simmons. Now 2, I would think about trading down (barring Ingram going 1st) but have to be really really good to pass on Ingram. I think teams would get in a bidding war for the 2 spot so could make it interesting. 3rd pick I don't think you get near the trade value unless a team falls in love with someone and has picks to throw away (cough cough Boston).
You would be absolutely crazy to trade the 2nd pick to move back for a couple picks. We need a super star and Ingram is the perfect fit. How can you trade the chance at getting a 6'10 2 way stud at the biggest position of need on your team for years? Sure it's possible you land 2 stars but you have a way better chance taking a talent like Ingram. The kid is way under rated around here by some and it just says to me you have watched very little of him. He is arguably a better fit then Simmons but it's just hard to pass up on what Simmons could be with a shot. Only way I am not picking Ingram is if some teams come offering me Paul George and just a few other young guys I would take.
I gave no judgement on Ingram. I just asked a question. I think Ingram will be a beast no doubt. But my thinking is does he fit our timeline? We're not a rebuilding team, we're a team that expected to be in the playoffs but had an injury riddled season. That is the only reason we are in the position we are in. Ingram will take at least 3 years to be a star, and at least 5 to 6 years to have the maturity to compete in deep playoff runs as a 1 or 2 option. Can we afford to wait that long with AD who is ready to win now? Just a thought.

So reading draft express we have the 6th (lottery) 38th and 39th pick. Is that right?
... and 6th not until the draft lottery (May 17th)
I just watched some Timothe Luwawu tape and that kid can ball, if we miss out on simmons, ingram, hield, brown, dunn, murray I wouldnt mind our draft going with Luwawu in the 1st and AJ Hammons and Wayne Seldon in the 2nd round.
With 6th pick - I want someone from group Ingram, Simmoms, Murray, Hield, Dunn. In that order - hopefully someone will take Brown
With 7th pick - I will trade down (preferred) - of course if any of 5 is available I will pick him.
With 1-2 pick I may take any of two. Ingram is 50,1% to 49,9% in my board (I will never trade this pick)
With 3rd pick I will check what can I get. But I will choose Bender.
3rd pick plus Evans for Jimmy Butler and 14th pick? Probably yes...
Which of prospects can get to the free throw line?
We need wings who can get cheap points.
1. Ingram
2. Simmons
3. J. Murray
4. Heild
5. Dunn
6. Valentine
7. Brown
8. Bender
9. Luwawu
10. Prince
He has no NBA skill outside of his athleticism and size... which in the NBA wont be as extraordinary. I do actually like him as a college player, just cant see his game translating. Even if shooting is one of the more commonly picked up skills. Having said that, if he does go above us it means someone slips... Im happy with that
this how will lottery go (assuming no changes in draft)
1. Ingram PHI
2. Simmons LAL
3. Bender BOS
4. Brown PHX
5. Hield MIN
6. Murray NOP
7. Dunn
it all depends on the lottery. PHX has Booker, Bledsoe and Knight. Don't need guard.
Minny needs PF and to decide what with LaVine (PG/SG) and what with Rubio...
so many possibilities...
My board is (not draft order but who I want in order):
Ingram, Simmons, Bender, Murray, Hield, Dunn, Sabonis, Valentine, Luwawu, Prince, Jackson, Ulis
I can see a blockbuster trade happening draft night.
Boston has too many assets and they aren't going to keep all those rookies.
Pretty sure they'll be getting Boogie. (and passing on Bender)
do you all think Murray is good enough defensively to pick here?
AD should do what's best for the team. That said, Bender/AD should make up for what we loss in AD/Noel.
And I just ran another draft simulation on ESPN and here were the first try results.
1. NO - Simmons
2. MIN - Ingram
3. LAL - Bender
4. PHI - Murray
5. BOS - Ellenson
6. PHX - Brown
7. DEN - Hield
8. SAC - Dunn
9. TOR - Chriss
10. MIL - Poeltl
11. ORL - Rabb
12. PHX - Kormaz
13. UTAH - Valentine
14. CHI - Ulis
Sidenote: If the NBA lottery is truly rigged, what would be the top 3 results--based on what the NBA would prefer?
