Sounds like he is not keen on the remaining FAs. If not, he should just wait it out for the bargain contracts later rather than overpay.

Can we impose a moratorium on MM posts? He posts speculation without any facts or evidence. It gets the entire board in a frenzy and nothing ever happens.
He is a troll.
Let's please not give him a platform.
I'd take Reggie Jackson or ty Lawson with Gerald green
Trade Cousins to Cleveland
They need some help to win against the Warriors
We are going to loose him at season end and get nothing.
Why wait til February 2018 when the season is already over.
7th seed ?????
Why wait until February you ask? Because Boogie would actually tell Dell and Gentry that he won't be re-signing here before the the trade deadline. So, if that happens, Dell would then trade him. But until then, the reason why Boogie won't be traded because, dare I say, he hasn't given any indication that he is going to walk?
Why wait until February you ask? Because you also haven't given AD and Boogie more than 25+ games together yet to see how it goes. For all you know, we could be a top 5 team in the West after Dell does what he needs to do and make a big trade for that 4th piece.
Davis Cousins need more than those 2 to win games.
Cousins is seeing first hand what handcuffs mean on a ball club.
It's obvious they don't want to spend any money.
They are happy at hoping for 40 wins.
I wonder how Dell likes Cabo? I hope he brings back some pictures. And maybe like a little bobblehead doll.
Hawks guard Jamal Crawford has finalized his contract buyout, league source tells The Vertical.
— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 7, 2017
He posts baseless speculation as fact with the caveat that it may or may not happen.
I could say "I'm hearing the Pelicans really like Pocahontas at the two guard. Something could happen as soon as Saturday" and everyone gets excited looking at Pocahontas highlight reels on YouTube. When nothing happens I just say it fell threw.
I can't stand that guy. He once came on here asking for support trying to get writers from Nola.com fired.
He is a troll. Don't link him
Minnesota, Washington, Cleveland out front for Jamal Crawford's services, I'm told.

Following official buyout this afternoon from Hawks, Cleveland, Minnesota, Washington and the Lakers top teams in pursuit of Jamal Crawford.

On the other hand waiting to Feb which is the last chance to trade him usually sees teams with worse offers as they have the leverage. I'd highly consider trading Boogie right now as he's likely to leave as this roster ain't good and we're completely out of options and flexibility to do much.
Who is MM?
Is he a staff member or member of the Press?
Slim you are spot on with that statement.
You can highly consider that. I can't force you to feel how I feel obviously haha. But, deep down you know we won't trade him.
Again, it hasn't even been 20 games together. They never had a offseason to work off each other. Wouldn't you say, at the very least, let them play together and see how it goes before considering trading boogie.
And I am very confused about some of y'all wanting to trade Boogie...Please answer me this:
We know, and it's obvious, Dell traded for Boogie already KNOWING he only had one year left on his contract. So, if Dell already knew that Boogie only had one year left on his contract, then why would he trade DC before the start of the season...Especially after less than 20 games and no offseason with AD?
I just don't understand the logic. You traded for Boogie knowing he only had one year left on his contract. So, why would you then trade him after less than 20 games and no offseason? Don't say, "because he will walk, he wants to play for a contender..." Because we should have already known this before we made the trade. So, since we did make the trade, doesn't tell you that we will ride with Boogie and not trade him?
We can't do a DAMN thing due to our lack of cap space. Problem is next yr is the same. Jrue's and AD's contracts only get bigger. Solomon and Asik are here thru 19/20. Next summer with Jrue's contract up to 26M we're looking at
AD-25M
Jrue-26M
Asik-11M
Solomon-13M
Moore-9M
Ajinca-5.5M
Those are rounded off but it's approx 90M without Boogie. Boogie would get at least 25M so that's 115M, luxury tax territory without even doing anything which makes us better while killing even more flexibility going forward. This team isn't bad enough to get high picks either.
It's a complete mess. I love Boogie but we killed what we can add around him and AD before even trading for him. Then we had to sign Jrue to avoid going straight lotto but that just compounded the mess.
So we either take our most valuable piece in Boogie and try to get a star wing & another piece or two which really fits around AD & Jrue or we risk him walking for nothing and we're STILL then tied up with 90M in salary next season where the cap next year will be 99M as it went down. So even if Boogie walks we still have almost no ability to really add something in free agency next summer. And then we risk having AD, an overpaid Jrue and mostly crap. That could see AD leaving.
If people actually look bigger picture & the situation over the next 2-3 yrs I don't know how trading Boogie isn't a very real option right now.
Its all been explained. It was a gamble but the team has little upside and little flexibility to do anything. Just have to cut the emotion out of it and think logically.
Now if you want to refute all the numbers I posted above and show us all how this team gets that much better go right ahead.
Zaza Pachulia back to the Warriors on a one-year, $3.5 million deal

I will copy and paste my post about acquiring John wall: Go ahead and you tell me how this isn't a possibility ASSUMING Boogie re-signs if we make the play-offs(I think is our difference. I believe he will re-sign, you don't).
1. I said: All we NEED to do this off-season is trade for Bledsoe.
2. Once that happens, then all we need to do is next is to make the play-offs. After making the play-offs, then that will 100% ensure that Boogie will sign an extension with us next summer. Why? Not only are we showing him that we are trying to win, but since he's also loyal, and the Kentucky blood/family/brotherhood runs stronger than one would think, then he will want to stay here and play with AD and Bledsoe (college teammate and best friend...The groomsmen at Bledsoe's wedding along with Wall).
3. Now, it wasn't a coincidence that John Wall didn't sign his extension when the Wizards had offered him a new contract earlier this summer...It wasn't a coincidence that Wall said, "I want to wait and see" around the SAME TIME that it was reported that Boogie is recruiting free agents to come play for the Pelicans.
4A. Wall has two years left on his contract. If he doesn't sign his extension, then he becomes a CP3/Paul George next summer with one year left on his contract. THIS will be the time to trade Jrue and assets for John Wall. Less teams will want to trade for Wall just because they'll be trading for an one-year rental. We will also be trading for an one-year rental in Wall. However, there's no way Pelicans wouldn't pull the trigger on Wall even for an one-year rental because WE KNOW with confidence that we will have the highest chance to sign him to an extension when his contract expires and becomes an UFA. Because guess what? He's not going to leave us with AD/Boogie/Bledsoe on the team. Remember that Kentucky blood and best friends and old college teammates thing I was talking about earlier? Plus, knowing that Boogie, AD, and Bledsoe is playing for NOLA should deter even more teams from trading for Wall knowing that he'll just sign with Pelicans after that 1 year with the team who traded for him. Basically, we won't have too much competition in the John Wall sweepstakes. Hopefully, Jrue balls out at an all-star level along with Chieck playing good basketballl so they can valuable trade assets.
4B. Now, if ANOTHER team beat us to the punch and trade for Wall as an one-year rental, then what do we do? Good. You go after Coach Cal that off-season. So, now you got Coach Cal, Boogie, Bledsoe, and AD? Two of Wall's old college teammates, three best friends, and his old college coach? Wall will definitely leave the team that traded for him and come play for the Pelicans. This might even be better because now you can trade Jrue for an allstar/superstar SF because of knowing that Wall is coming here.
5. After that, you go after veterans who are chasing championships and will play for the minimum.
We will then have a roster of: Wall, Bledsoe, AD, Boogie, superstar/all-star SF and maybe Coach Cal (If another team traded for Wall as an one-year rental), and veterans.
6. Championships
re: Zaza
Full non-Bird exception. More than GSW could pay anyone else, as they're down to minimums otherwise. https://t.co/9AVxLQK2bT

1) Wishful thinking at best. More a pipe dream.
2) Is based on the prior pipe dream.
3/4) Is based off the wild assumption Wash would trade Wall, then trade him here over all other teams and that Boogie would still be here when he might be gone.
5) So basically baseless hope off a chain of reactions extremely unlikely to happen.
I'll go with the numbers and the reality of our situation instead thank you very much.
Slim I will add this to the discussion
What assurance we have Cousins stays in New Orleans?
NONE. He is all about Cousins just like Nick Saban said he wasn't going to Miami.
The Pelicans need to unload Cousins now his ceiling is the highest Now.
If we wait till February 2018 we could be screwed for many reasons
Cousins could get injured? He might be playing like crap? His on the court Toxic image could be at a all time high.
With all that being said he could walk out the front door and we lost It all.
It seems that would be a sharp move for the future
Remember we were sold on this Davis Cousins combo that all the Elite FA would be giving up anything to play with these guys. We seen it did NOTHING

Feels like GSW have infinite money like a baseball team. I actually kind of feel disgusted.
It would appear that when Bob Myers referred to having a spending limit, he was referring to $175M.

— Brian Windhorst (@WindhorstESPN) July 7, 2017
Haha, so let me get this straight. You asked me how I can show you to make this team better.
You're entitled to say its a pipe dream. But, what I said can still happen and is very realistic.
Basically, what you're telling us:
Trading for Bledsoe is a pipe dream.
Having AD and Bledsoe on the team WON'T interest Boogie to re-sign with us KNOWING Wall will only have one more year left on his contract (I believe with Boogie knowing that Wall only has one more year left, DC will want to stay put and make the most money. He knows that a line-up with him, wall, and AD is dangerous).
Having Bledsoe, Boogie, and AD on the SAME team WILL NOT interest Wall to come here and play with the Pelicans when his contract is up...it is a pipe dream.
If Wall doesn't sign his extension with Washington, then Washington won't be looking to trade him and just let Wall walk? Wrong. They will look to trade him. I can guarantee you Pelicans would be on the phone.
Bottom line is this. I respect you as a poster, but do not say what I posted is unrealistic because it is just as unrealistic that the Pelicans will trade Boogie before the season starts and after hiring Finch AND without even an offseason together.
If the pelican trade boogie, then I'll admit you are right. If the pelicans trade for Bledosoe OR boogie re-signs, then you have to admit that I am right.
Pretty much.
Really makes me want a much harder cap.
In actual execution, we pretty much have the same problem the NBA had when they went down this road that got us here with the same problem of extreme talent concentration and large organizational inequality.
lol come on yall..if we were GS,,no one in new Orleans would be talking about a harder cap lol,,we would be enjoying the fruits of our labor......
Our organization has to make wise decisions and develop players to give us a winning culture.....the 76ers was a big joke for awhile and now look like they may be a playoff team if they stay healthy...we got to trust our process lol...
Of course people would be more willing to look the other way, doesn't mean the problem isn't an actual real problem.
I think you should separate people saying something needs some fixing from thinking they are also saying things are completely broken.
You can make it work in this world....Though ironically the one big thing Silver is talking about is trying to make it harder for teams to tank and build like the Spurs, the 76ers, and the Wolves did. Which I think is a mistake if you don't impose other changes alongside it.
But the issue is you have to look at the purpose of the structure in place, its entire design(Luxury taxes, supermaxs, etc.) is to prevent exactly what is happening in GS, protect the smaller markets, and increase parity. Instead the system is just making it even harder for the teams without those deep pockets to keep up once a team with deep pockets gets out ahead. Even if the Pels did all the right things, absolutely perfect, there is no situation where Benson is going to spend 200 million plus in salary plus taxes on a smaller market team like the Pelicans. So what are your rules ACTUALLY achieving?
We aren't trading Boogie. That is ridiculous and moronic. Y'all can be emo trolls if you want, but don't pretend like the rest of us should take you seriously. Boogie isn't Kevin Durant or Gordon Hayward. He was as loyal as can be, in Sacramento of all places. The Kings have been more dysfunctional than the Pelicans have, in my opinion. So now, he's been traded to New Orleans, the franchise closest to his hometown Mobile. He is playing next to one of his best friends in AD. The FO has gone above and beyond to please Boogie in every way since his arrival. So, considering all this, I think the chances that Boogie leaves next off-season are slim to none. Things would have to fall apart in a truly catastrophic fashion for him to walk.
With the roster we have today, I think we still make the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed. Obviously I don't expect us to go into the season with the roster as it is today. Dell and Gentry know that both of their jobs are on the line this season. It's truly playoffs or bust. So, I seriously doubt that Dell goes into the season with our roster as is. I fully expect him to trade for a starting caliber guard, hopefully sooner rather than later. Regardless of when it happens, I know something is gonna happen. Dell has to make a move. That move will increase our chances to make the playoffs, whether we bring in Bledsoe, Lin, Fournier or someone else that none of us have discussed or even considered. If we make the playoffs, then Boogie is not leaving. Maybe other people won't be blunt or bold enough to make that statement, but I will. If he leaves, I'll be shocked. So stop with exaggerated pessimism. Please. Talk to some Kings fans, get their perspective on Boogie. Ask them if they think he's "all about Boogie" like Champ likes to say or if they would consider him possibly the most loyal superstar in the league today.
You know... it really wouldn't kill Demps to leak a little information to the news.. doesn't he know this is killing us.. I sometimes wish we were like the Lakers where every thought is leaked to the news
Actually, my money is on Buckwheat actually being MM.....or a disgruntled Kings fan. Look at the start date. Right around the last time MM went all borderline.
Problem is as the numbers show, this team has a very low ceiling and no flexibility for three years. Other problem even though I don't think Boogie is all about himself is that he was in a terrible situation in Sac and had the trade here dictated for him. Next summer is his only chance to find the best situation he can as a FA while still in his prime. He turns 27 next month and doesn't have a min of playoff ball to his name.
I see no way he signs away the rest of his prime to a team with such a limited ceiling until he's 29/30 yrs old.
Some here are just in deep deep denial. No one wants to admit how poor the situation is here the next 3 yrs. It's just "ra ra" cheerleading or that we're magically gonna trade fro Bledsoe and Wall. LOL.
Why do people who have a pessimistic outlook always insist they're the ones who see reality and the rest are in denial?
Jesus, get over yourself. You're talking about sports. It's escapism. None of this is reality.
