Tomorrow: Doc's kid Austin Rivers joins Stephen A, Rob and me in Bristol for all 2 hours. Can he talk as well as he can shoot? Betting yes.

I'm really happy the team drafted this guy. This is going to be a fun season
Austin Rivers @AustinRivers25
Had a great time today at ESPN campus! Was fun being on the show @ESPN_firsttake ! Thanks to the cast and the producers for having me.
how was he? any recaps?
PS in chrome, i can't reply unless hitting "advanced" anymore. did something change?
Some of it here... still looking for the entire segment.
Love it. He seems to really understand the game. Although I laughed when he called it the National Basketball League.
hes definitely a celtics homer, but i was impressed with his knowledge about the game
Another vid from a few weeks ago... I'm sure many has seen it but I hadn't...
I was very impressed and he seems like a cool kid. I think his personality will have a positive impact on the team.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
He represented both himself and the organization quite well....he offered his opinions without looking foolish or inserting foot in mouth (unlike several of the "everyday" panelists)...stuck to his guns with somewhat cautious optimism when it came to the Hornet's future (Skip did try goading him into making a declaration about a playoff appearance this year, but he wisely resisted making that prediction)..My only issue with River's was learning he is an Eagles fan and thinks they are the best team in the NFC....I just can't support that....
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"
"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"
he's an Eagles fan?! that's awesome.. like him even more now. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
Any place I can find the whole First Take? I wanna watch is so badly.
Rivers seems to really know basketball. So excited for the season to start on Oct 2. Hopefully, the channel that provides NBA games here in the PH will show lots of Hornets pre-season games, so that I can get me some Hornets basketball. If not, I'll be playing Association mode with my bro (using the Hornets of course). That'll satiate me for another 25 days (before Oct. 31's opening day)
I like that he patterns his game towards the bigger point guards like Deron Williams who score but also get's his team involved. If he can become anything similar to Deron Williams I'd be greatly satisfied with his development.
