That's what doesn't make any sense at all. Wes Johnson is worth a 1st round pick based on potential alone. Even a straight up swap of Johnson for Warrick doesn't make any sense. Toss in a 1st round pick going to Phoenix, and it's just straight robbery.Originally Posted by hornets504

Doesn't Lopez for Miller, Warrick+1 for Johnson, maybe a second of ours to Minne make more sense than this lopsided reporting? It might not make total sense, but it makes more sense.

I think they are reporting the 1st round pick wrong. I could see something like this happening.
We get: Lopez, Warrick, and Minny's 1st round pick
Phoenix gets: Wes Johnson
Minny gets: Cap space
Not quite sure how all that works out salary-wise, but it makes more sense IMO.

Thats wishful thinking, no way we get a 1st round pick out of this and Suns give up their only backup Center, no way. Suns will likely get the 1st round pick out of the deal.
Then they can keep Warrick.
There is no way that Minny, essentially, trades Wes Johnson and a 1st round pick for Warrick. There's just no way.
Why would Minny trade Wes Johnson and a 1st for Cap Space? They wouldn't.... so don't think Phoenix is getting the 1st. I think Phoenix is giving a 1st to Minny as someone already stated here
The deals being reported are starting to make a little more sense.
This seems like something is going to happen, and I'm told it's favorable for us. The evaluator could be biased. First-hand account, passing it along.

Warrick could go to MIN in a 3-way Lopez deal. I mistakenly mentioned 2013 cap space but Warrick & Johnson both have 2013 team options.

Its makes no sense tho, if TWolves are trying to free up money for AK-47 why would they swap Warrick for Johnson and they have the same salary. Man we shall see, lol. Cant wait to see what the final deal will be.
