Pelicans, Brass, and the Gators names all sound good to me. Surprised Gators didn't even pop in my mind till I saw it. We got plenty of them around here, and it's something that actually resonates outside of the region. Brass is about as close to the Jazz name as we can get. Could even have a nice trombone or something on the jersey. Pelicans is more nostalgic than anything. Agree that is seems more fitting for a baseball team.
Another good one would be the New Orleans Hurricanes but...well, you know
I don't think the New Orleans Krewe would really resonate with anyone outside Louisiana. The rest of the country would be like wtf are they a crew and why can't they spell. We really should be the New Orleans Jazz, but I'm sure the 8 black people in Utah don't want to give up that name
Can't get rid of the Hornets name
I support Krewe, VooDoo, Sound, Beat
I feel like every thread on this board either dies, or becomes a thread about rebranding or the draft. Oh yea, and ownership. Not saying its a bad thing, I just find it comical.

The draft, ownership, rebrand, and cable deal are the only things to look forward too. Until the draft lottery, the only excitement we can have is watching Eric Gordon come back Wednesday. We are actually setting a up a great foundation for the future, which is very bright.
Without a doubt. I'm giddy just thinking about our future. As of next year, we're gonna have 5 draft picks from the past three years, four of which came from the lottery. When you add that to a healthy EJ, a healthy Okafor, and the rest of our team, we become playoff contenders immediately.

That would make me want Krewe even more, because they sure don't care about us as the Hornets. I am speaking about the national media, not our Austalian and European diehards who spend so much time here discussing this team with us.
What could a new cable deal mean? Would they stick with CST or move to another station that's more accessible to everyone else?
I hate almost everything about CST. They FINALLY updated the graphics for the score board, but all the other graphics are very early 90's-ish. Oh and the music is horrible.
How about the New Orleans Louisianians.
