First pick or not, I'm glad to finally get this behind us. No more worrying about Tyson's injury or what may or may not happen if he is dealt. The deal is done, we have a good replacement and now we can move on to other pressing needs like our awful bench.

I think the NBA rules would not allow that for marketing reasons. I think other than a trade a player may not change his number without a two year notice.

Okafor was the draft pick they were referring to.

Although I agree on the rule... I doubt ANYBODY has a #50 Antonio Daniels jersey... NBA should let'em slide

Not that it's a reliable source or anything, but this was a great trade for us according to ESPN Sportsnation: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls?pCat=46&sCat=608

What's good with CP3's shape up? It's crooked every time I see it

Did anyone else get the feeling that Stein was a little annoyed in that interview that he was proven wrong about the the HORNETS dumping salary? haha i love it when these guys that don't always check their facts get shown up!

One side note about the health and age issue:

Though they are the same age, Chandler has more mileage since he entered the league earlier than Okafor.

The guy doesn't even act like Chandler's injuries exist.

Also, why are people high on the Mavs? They have an old PG and a ****ty center. LMAO at this clown ranking the Mavs over the Nuggets. Hornets are better than the Mavs, again.

I'm not happy taking on another double digit million dollar contract for 5 years or so. This is what got us here.

On the other hand-- since it ain't my $$, I'm glad we just got better. But in the long run, this might be another move that significantly hurts our flexibility.

Thanks for that. Man, you can hear the surprise in Stein's voice. I think the analysis was ok. Still too much negativity, I think, when it comes to the Hornets, but that is a reputation that was pretty much earned in CLT, and it is hard to get out from under it. I am talking about the allegation that the Hornets are cheap.

I hate to see TC go. If CP3 is with it though I am too. We will see how it all pans out when the season begins. I don't mind Omeka. I'm happy we were able to cut salary and get a quality big man in return for TC. A lot better than TC for Ben Wallace. Go Hornets!!!

Now I hope they can make some more good deals, with the teams in the east. Since they do not have to compete with them for playoff spots.
