I love it. Absolutely fantastic idea... a lot of college sports programs have similar contests. Tulane put one in place for the men's and women's basketball games during my senior year there. Swipe your student ID at the gate for any game or pep rally and accumulate points. Various prizes for however many points you have at the end of the football/basketball/baseball season.

All i want next year is for a 21 game (half season) plan where I get to pick the games....
But this idea is fricking awesome....
Really cool idea. LSU instituted this a few years after I graduated. For each mens's/women's game you go to, your card is swpied and priority points are added. The more points you accumulate, the better your odds are of going to the SEC championship and bowl games. Very ingenius method that can yield big results. Hell, LSU bsaketball is pathetic this year but we have a decent student section for the priority points alone.

Solid idea. Only wrench in it is that the type of person who'd win the MVF Crown (courtesy of BK) is more than likely in here and already doing his/her part.

Didn't the Hornets have something like this before Katrina where you could win prizes based on getting points for attending games?

Because it would really publicize the benefits of being a STH to any and all fans. It not only adds incentives to buy season tickets, but it would also make a pretty large number of people aware of those incentives (not to mention the ones already in place: open practices, beer gardens, meet-and-greets with GM, photos with players, casino night... really excited about this, btw, etc). Sure, only one person wins the MVF. The thing is that it may not work as well as hoped, but it surely wouldn't hurt anything. In buisness it's sometimes about many good ideas that equal success. Ideas like that can only benefit the team, not hurt them.
