Would you be willing to take that risk, considering your job will depend on it? Who would you give up . . . KG, Kobe? At this point I don't think we could have gotten Wade or even other lesser all stars. We got market value, value that BD created with his attitude and risk of further injury.
Can anyone here promise BD will play an entire season again? How do you feel about his injuries? Is he the same player that he was in CLT, or even his first year here?
It's easy to take shots at Bristow, Shinn, the FO, etc . . . but put yourself in their position. Nothing they did made BD happy, and they certainly couldn't keep him healthy. I have no idea why so many people want this guy when he didn't want to be here to start with. Remember that when you are crying over BD's trade, HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE HERE!
So sit back, cry all you want and compare the Hornets to the Saints. In the long run this deal will make the Hornets better. Better yet, follow the Warriors and jump back on the bandwagon when this team is a contender again. The Warriors can always use more fans.
The Hornets are our franchise, and now we are no longer a one man team. Give the FO a chance here, it's not like teams were falling all over each other for BD's services. We got what the market would allow, that's not the Hornets fault.
