true i just saw it on espnews bottomline. YES!!!!!!!!!
I'm in a state of disbelief!!! This is awesome!!!
wow. i still have reservations about scott and his style, but there's no way you can level "cheap" comments on shinn with this hire.
Wooohoooo!! Ata boy Shinn!!!!
Unbelievable!, I thought the hornets wouldn’t be able to do it but it looks like I was wrong and I’m glad I was.
Now lets get Brian Hill as GM and some good assistants and we’ll be set.

set? we're far from set. we need a roster overhaul if scott is going to run his princeton offense and expect results.
I had my doubts this would happen and I realize Scott isn't a sure thing. But he's clearly the best candidate and someone who could have had the most suitors if he had chosen to play it that way.
Shinn identified him right away, targeted him and got him. On this one, Shinn deserves an A-plus.
Agreed on all points you make. (that's gotta be a first!)Originally posted by Superfluous_Nut

But it can let a city know...
That it's a city once again.
Welcome back, New Orleans.
I posted the news tuesday
I'm so excited about this hire...good move for Shinn as it looks like hes showing dedication and commitment...the Hornets definitely moved a step forward after admittingly making a mistake last offseason
You would have to think that Lord Byron, not having held out for a chance to work with the Lakers' egos, will be highly motivated now to defeat the Lakers, but he must still contend with Houston, SA, Minnesota, Memphis and SAC. Will his style of play change to a more offensive minded gameplan, or will we continue to press strong defensively, until we find more scoring options?
We had quite a few interesting conversations as we pondered and navigated the nightly canopy.
I'm very excited about having Byron Scott as the Hornets head coach!!!
great news
we got our coach
now we need our GM (Hill)
and then some players (Hughes, Barry, Jefferson etc)
Offseason 1/3 complete
RIP #13 Bobby Phills
