2 years ago at least.Time to move on from Zion
Also just a reminder Dumars traded the lottery pick to the Hawks.
"Reporting with @DoingItDodson on Zion Williamson's future with the Pelicans, as the organization prepares to accept the "first decent, reasonable offer" for the former All-Star." - Brett Siegel
Fortunately Joe Dumars clearly understands how to leverage assets. "We will take the first decent offer", isn't how you maximize value or leverage an offer but actually hurts your bargaining position but this is who we have. David Griffin and Dell Demps certainly weren't blameless and made or proposed trades that I was/am critical of but Joe Dumbass sure looks like he has a lack of pretty basic understanding of just basic fundamentals. Being this incompetent actually makes me wonder if it is a Major League-style ploy to have an excuse to move the team but if recent history has taught us anything it's that the rich fail upwards and are in love with smelling their own farts so this is probably just an amazing level of idiocy.
The time to move on was 3-4 years ago but DG refused.

https://cdn.nba.com/videos/teams/wsc...8_1280x720.mp4Lost in the disastrous New Orleans Pelicans season has been Zion Williamson's impressive physical and athletic transformation. Because the team has not been winning too many games, what Williamson has been doing has largely gone under the radar. For those paying attention, however, the 25-year-old power forward is looking more explosive than he has looked in years, creating a fascinating dilemma for the Pelicans ahead of the February 5 trade deadline.
Williamson's highlight reel in Sunday's win over the Spurs is proof that he is back. His chasedown block against De'Aaron Fox in the first half, bullyball finishes over Victor Wembanyama, and transition dunk in traffic in the fourth quarter were all vintage Zion Williamson plays.
My opinion is that we should keep him!
