Lots of overreaction in this thread which is par for the course. Summer league isn’t nothing but a glorified scrimmage and pickup game to get rookies acclimated to the NBA game.

I actually thought Queen made quite a few good passes in that game. He honestly looks more a point forward than Fears looks a PG atm. Fears will really have to find his niche then expand his game. He is really green.

I don?t see Fears getting developed much under Willie Green this year. He is far too green, a turnover machine, and a defensive liability. Alvarado will get more playing time than him as Dumars has set this team up to play for wins now. Queen is good enough to get 20 minutes a game at PF allowing Zion to average 30-32 minutes a game like Giannis to help preserve his health if that is possible. Looney may be our starting center right now with Missi as the backup.

Whether you like the trade or not, I will say that Queen has at least showed something in the summer league and he has a chance to contribute. He certainly is not the problem with the summer league team. Fears will really need to work on his PG play. He should not be getting out assisted by Queen in the long term if he wants to run the floor. Will probably be a slasher/(hopefully shooter) drive and kick guy for the near future. His decision making just isn't there which is a big worry for a Willie Green coached team.

Pelicans PG Jeremiah Fears has 3 total assists through 3 games (and 16 turnovers)

Imo summer leagues means nothing much, but DQ has shown his talent and versatility. Fears has show his handle so far and his ability to attack the rim. Both have shown they need time to develop and be around the right players to maximize their strengths. This SL team has zero chemistry lol Missi I think has gotten better at his strengths, but can’t show them

We gave up our lottery pick next year. We are heading to a very dark place. Meanwhile the Thunder are not going away anytime soon. Jesus Sam Presti has built a powerhouse.
