A herb deal would seem more likely. Not for this but more than I would have thought. I love me some Trey but if you do trade him, it better be for close to that AND we start the rebuild.

Durant wants to go to either Huston, San Antonio or Miami.

Yawn, Durant is soft… He would fit well on the Pels. Whatever team he goes to will not be a championship contender.

I feel the same about Ja.

I loved Allen Iverson but there was something about his game that killed championship hopes. I see that same trait in Westbrook, Harden, and Ja. I want to stay far away from Morant.

Just for you. Should we ? ESPN hinted Morant is being shopped.

    Durant goes to Houston
Green, Brooks and the 10th pick.

Trading 7 for 10 & 29 could potentially be on the table now after this trade assuming reports about Phoenix also liking Khaman are accurate.

So if the Pels see the possibility that they don't like who is there at 7, they potentially have the following trade partners:

    Toronoto: 7 for 9 + 39 + ??
    Phoenix: 7 for 10 + 29 + ??
    Atlanta: 7 for 13 + 22 + ??

Quick correction, but the 40th pick will be made on Thursday. First round tomorrow. Second round Thursday.

So who's going to be the adult in the room? With CJ gone who's going to be that player that can keep the locker room and players in check?

Unfortunately that’s not Willie Green. That is a head coach’s job. We don’t have one.

    Bring in CP3 on a 1-year deal?

We got people defending Dumars. Believe it or not.

Ignoring the deserved critique for the trade, I didn't mind our draft. I am most concerned about Fears. To me he has real bust potential. I do think developing players is one of Willie's strong suits though so we shall see.

He does have real bust potential, but at least with Fears I get the vision. This is a draft class with relatively little lead-guard potential, and he is probably the best lead guard prospect in the class. If things go wrong for him, he will be a bust, sure, but if they go right it's easy to see that they could go very right.

It's everything else that baffles me.

To me it seems we are jumping the gun like Griff did several times. But this time to a potentially catastrophic extent. I will let it play out. Nothing more we can really do at this point. Gayle is an incompetent owner and her staff is not any better. It will be about luck at this point.

Sometimes luck is all you need! Maybe Zion stays healthy and Fears and Queen become stars.
