Pelicans Ummm Zion- Zion accused of rape and abuse by former Girlfriend

    https://nypost.com/2025/05/30/sports...shell-lawsuit/

According to Doe, Williamson called her “stuck up” and a “**********,” and when she refused to engage in sex, the 6-foot-6, 280-pound power forward “pinned Plaintiff down on the bed with her hands behind her back and raped her.”

The suit also alleges a pattern of “abusive, controlling, and threatening behavior toward Plaintiff” that also occurred in Louisiana and several other states.

Williamson is also accused of threatening to have his security guard shoot Doe “in the head while the security guard was present and carrying a loaded firearm multiple times in Louisiana between 2020 and 2023,” and “threatening to have his paid security guard kill Plaintiff’s parents, after informing Plaintiff that he knows their home address multiple times in Louisiana between 2020 and 2023.”

    Here's Zion's legal team's statement:

We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and we unequivocally deny them. The allegations contained in the complaint are categorically false and reckless. This is the plaintiff?s third set of attorneys. This appears to be an attempt to exploit a professional athlete driven by a financial motive rather than any legitimate grievance.

Mr. Williamson and the plaintiff never dated, but did maintain a consensual, casual relationship that began more than six years ago, when he was 18 years old. That relationship ended years ago. At no point during or immediately after that relationship did the plaintiff raise any concerns. Only after the friendship ended did she begin demanding millions of dollars.

Mr. Williamson reported the plaintiff?s extortion attempts to law enforcement. We understand that an arrest warrant was issued in connection with that report, and we are prepared to provide the court with documentation that supports these facts.

Mr. Williamson also intends to file counterclaims and seek significant damages for this defamatory lawsuit. While these allegations are false, we recognize the seriousness of the claims and welcome the opportunity to prove the truth in court. We are confident that the legal process will expose the truth and fully vindicate Mr. Williamson

    And per ESPN

The woman is seeking monetary damages, including punitive damages, for emotional distress. A source told ESPN that the woman is seeking "anywhere from $18 million to $50 million.

I'm not going to assume one way or the other until the process plays out, but I do wonder if it's finally time to have a change of scenery for him but hope that the Pelicans can at least get some decent value for him if they part ways. Of course the only way they have a chance for decent value in any trade possibility would be if Zion's side is telling the truth.

It's a civil case....so....all they need to do is prove a preponderance of evidence. So it the claimants lawyer doesn't even have to go as far as 'reasonable doubt'. If they do that, yeah. Dude should be done. If they can't do that, I hope the organization ignores this.

Zion's lawyer statement of there being past history of extortion from multiple different lawyers is interesting because it's likely the New Orleans Pelicans brass have been aware of this individual trying to extort money from him for years.

Stories also say the claims have already been subject to a mediation that failed. Pels should conduct their own investigation using outside professionals prior to the July deadline on Zion's deal. If I'm the Pels brass, I'm demanding he produce all evidence and exhibits submitted to the mediator as a condition of Zion's contract being guaranteed next season. Franchise needs clarity on what's involved here before forking over $40 million and hitching itself to Zion for another three years.

For what it's worth, the Lanier firm, which represents Jane Doe, is not a fly-by-night outfit. Mark Lanier is one of the top plaintiff lawyers in the country...

    # 2 lawsuit possibly . He likes the crazy women.

    https://www.tmz.com/2025/05/31/moria...amson-lawsuit/

Moriah Mills -- the influencer/model who claimed to have a fling with Zion Williamson back in 2023 -- has contacted Tony Buzbee ... and is mulling a lawsuit against the NBA superstar, TMZ Sports has learned.

Buzbee -- the famed attorney best known for representing Deshaun Watson and Diddy accusers -- told us on Friday just hours after a Jane Doe filed a rape suit against Williamson in Los Angeles that Mills has reached out to him over the potential of filing her own litigation against the 24-year-old New Orleans Pelicans forward.

Buzbee stated for now, he is in the process of "evaluating her claims."

Imagine if a man pushed himself onto an 18 year old woman sexually in order to later sue that woman because she was rich. Such a ********ed up society… What percentage of 18 yo young heterosexual men would have the self control to say no to attractive women throwing themselves at them?

How about quit hanging out at strip clubs and focus on basketball? Is that too much to ask?

Let’s realize that we expected a 18-25 yo immature kid to be the savior of this franchise, and he wasn’t in those years. Maybe he is maturing gradually. He is showing signs. He clearly did a bunch of dumb stuff in that same timeframe, but no one is paying anything in a trade that could match the “ healthy, focused” Zion we have seen in small sample sizes over the past few years. Some money chasing thot is not going to be the reason we should give Zion away for pennies. I am sure the Lakers, Knicks, and the league would love that.

Live by the sword, Die by the sword?

Secondly Zion has no real trade value. Lakers made their move. Knicks may make move for Giannis

OKC with the second youngest team ever in the Finals after blowing up Durant, Westbrook, and George contracts. Let that sink in.

    Mavs Getting Flagg.

    Spurs building a monster

Yeah we are screwed in our division with or without Zion.

Giannis asking to be traded could be the best way the Pels can get immediate value back for Zion if they choose to part ways with him. Milwaukee might want their pick rights back if they lose Giannis since there's a decent chance with the rest of their roster that they're going to be pretty bad this upcoming year.

Any trade they do they could be looking to pull New Orleans into it. For example that Knicks trade with KAT going to Milwaukee could instead have KAT routed to New Orleans with Zion and Milwaukee's pick rights going to Milwaukee. Or if it's Houston, Sengun could go to New Orleans as part of the deal with Zion & the pick rights going to Milwaukee. So it might be something to closely watch.

CJ, Herb, Trey Murphy, Missi, & Sengun or KAT won't be title favorites headed into the season but they could be pretty competitive especially depending on Trey & Missi's growth along with if they nail the #7 pick.

Zion is a very negative asset now. You all get that, right? Everyone wants to talk themselves into how he can be traded but no one wants him. Look at how much he makes. He barely plays and although he's fine when he doe, you have to build around him, hope he doesn't get injured, hope he cleans up his habits, and learns some professionalism and self control. And that is all assuming that investigations into this just basically disappear.

Best-case scenario is that he is an embarrassment to himself, the league, and men everywhere. He is a man-child who cant take responsibility for himself and desperately needs to learn self discipline. Worst case scenario is that he needs to be removed from society. Get this fool away from the team. I don't want to hear about him again. Such squandered promise. And please note anyone carrying water and excusing this sad excuse for a man.

I'm not watching another minute of him play basketball.

It has to be either New Orleans or Memphis moving East when Seattle and Vegas are added…

Yet you sit here and post in a Pelicans forum… I am not a Zion fan, but he unfortunately is the best player the Pels have right now, and that is a sad statement…

I point out Zion's flaws of being a garbage human being and your response is "and yet you post in this forum". Disgusting behavior. So we should be silent? We should support Zion? By your logic we than all need to support a potential rapist and domestic abuser because we like basketball? I'm a fan of this team because I liked the Charlotte Hornets in the 90s and followed my fandom here. I have no desire to try and do mental gymnastics for a perpetual man-child just because he plays for the team I've loved for the last 30+ years. Go look in the mirror and tell me what you find.

If you think Zion is a rapist then don’t support him or the Pels. I am not a Zion fan nor do I believe he is a rapist. He makes foolish choices and takes no accountability for them. You can get off your pulpit now. I am not here to have a morality discussion with you in a basketball forum.

Even if he didn't do it, this is bad. As an athlete you cannot put yourself in these situations. I hope for his sake (and hers) that she wasn't actually raped as that would be devastating for both. I do think some women will do anything to get money and attention especially considering the way Zion ditched her, but I also acknowledge that people with the power and influence of Zion think they are above the law. I hope it isn't true- even then I think he is gone. We cannot handle any more drama.

Just the opposite. He's here to stay.

"I've had really good conversations with Zion," Dumars said. "We've had lunch. Dinner. Watched playoff games together. We've done it all. I've had some real honest conversations with him. Some real direct and honest conversations. We're going to go forward with Zion. He's going to continue to be a focal point here as we go forward."
