I'd still consider it, depending on a few other factors (are we also getting a backup big? CJ is going to the bench, right? these kinds of questions) because the offense would be legitimately outrageous and having a truly electric offense can help mitigate the worst aspects of having a poor defense. Plus, of course, it's Willie Green, so I trust him to extract defense from people. If DJM is playing defense the way he did in San Antonio, Zion is defending like he did at the end of last season, and Herb is still there, then I think it would probably be workable.
95% of the time it would be fantastic and the 5% of the time that we have a horrible shooting night it would be bad. Like, real bad.
Basketball.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmmm. I wonder who they want

I'm beginning to have a mind change. Give B.I his extension. You can always trade him later on.

Another big off the board.
Rumor.. Lakers are working on a three team trade to land DeRozan and Jerami Grant.

So Orlando has re-signed Mo Wagner, renegotiated and extended Isaac, and brought back Goga.
Really really feels like WCJ is gettable. They seem entirely interested in other bigs.

I agree with the first bit of this. I'm sure they've been on the phones every day seeing what's out there, trying to gauge interest, making offers, counter-offers, et cetera.
I disagree that it's possible for BI to up his trade value. While he could always play better, it's the final year of his contract so every month of the season that goes by, the rental gets shorter. That would off-set any play improvement, in my opinion: nobody's paying big for like, 3 months of BI.
If you don't trade him you have to extend him IMO.
Yes. There is probably a better market for TMIII and picks to a rebuilding team because of his contract and they can sell their fan base on potential.
BI is all-star talent.
Boston didn't trade away players like Tatum, Brown, or BI. They won by trading away a player more on Trey's level in Marcus Smart. This is such a weird fan base wanting star talent traded away for a role player just to make room for the extension of another role player.
CJ and Jonas were never star talent but we wanted them to be. BI, Murray, and Zion are star players. We actually have a Big 3. It's reported the Pels intend to work out an extension on Ingram. They want this Big 3. Trey and picks going out for a Big seems just as likely at the moment as BI and Pels extension talks breaking down and him being traded.
