Okay enough, I had Buzelis mostly in this kind of range. Kinda Deni Avdija like himself, actually.
    Basketball.

As of right now Ingram is still a pelican

Of course OKC get a guy I had in my top 8 at 12 lmao.

    The rich get richer.

Still some really good names in the draft. Likelihood of someone falling to us, should we keep 21, is rising.

  7. #582
They are not dropping down so far.

    And he was right.

Warriors might be on the lock for Paul George, they'll be better. Memphis will have Ja back, they're going to be vastly better. Houston is even in talks to improve and they weren't dismal last year.

Meanwhile, Denver, Minnesota, OKC, Sacramento, Phoenix, they're all still there, running it back.

If we do not make a real move to tangibly improve the team, we are going to win 48 games next year and still never even sniff real playoff spots. The West is gearing up around us and we cannot afford to just assume us doing the same thing again (the same thing that got us a play-in spot) is going to work in an even tougher West.

Come on, Griff. You understood it well enough to say it. Now act on it.
You know, the one thing I question about this scenario is, there's only a finite number of wins to go around in an NBA season. Its not like you can have 6 teams each win 60+ games in the same conference. You just can't. For every W, someone gets an L. So, if we're able to stay around 50 wins, odds are we would be top 6 next season. Memphis getting better, GSW better, SA better. They have to get their wins from somewhere, and many of them will come against those same six teams that finished above us last season. Not disagreeing with anything, just think people need to remember, there's not an unlimited ceiling on wins.

Excellent sentence structure here from Shams; Washington is Bub Carrington selecting.

They're coming from the Spurs who are still tanking, Detroit who will still suck, Wizards who appear to be poised to sell off what few good players they have, the Nets who are openly tanking for Flagg in 2025, et cetera.

Bronny James may fall right in our lap

Very Miami pick, if that makes any sense. He'll be good.

Collier, Ware, Holmes still on the board for Pels.

We have a disagreement, Mr Fischer!

Fischer has confirmed it's Ware from his sources too, there was a mix-up.

So you're really believe there's a scenario where 6-7 teams in one conference will have 60+ wins and we'll have 6-7 teams in the league all with 10-12 wins? Not happening. Way off the edge of the bell curve by multiple standard deviations.

Plus those teams got their wins from SA, Det and WAS last year. They're not going to get MORE wins.

He meant they're improving talent-wise and will all be in competition to gobble up the wins that you are pointing out will be hard to get. I think.

I'm still going to maintain that we finished the season only ONE game behind the Western Conference Champs and every single one of our core players is younger than their prime so we really would improve our win total running it back and staying healthy. Just need to replace Jonas.

BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.

BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

Why is Grif not calling Pat Riley right now? They look bored in that Miami draft room right now

Well no, because I haven't said anywhere that I think 7 teams in one conference will have 60+ wins. I'm honestly not sure where you've got that from, because it's not something I ever said and isn't something I would ever say.

I'm picturing something not too dissimilar to 2013-14, where 49 wins got you the 8th seed in the West (and only one team got more than 60 wins). But there were 8 teams that won under 30 games.

That's a scenario that only happens once every ten years or more. The odds are better than even that a 49-50 win team this year finishes Top 6 in the West.

Literally nobody in this entire draft excites me. Trade this and other picks with Ingram and CJ for Trae Young and give me some excitement for the love of God.

Well, guess how long it's been, my friend.

Griff isn't going to do that.

He's going to do what he does every draft, which is nothing, and then he'll take someone with the pick and act like that alone is a difference maker.
