    Fun night.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.

BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

Had my transfer panel for my PhD at the same time as work picked up heavily and I tore my achilles, so I basically lost any and all free time for a while. Once some of that cleared up, I was so out of touch with the season I had to spend a bit of time catching up on some games I'd missed and understanding where we actually were in the year. Mostly back to normal for now though.

    Mostly. No promises.

I bet the TWolves smoke them but yeah, best we win, too.

Crazy log jam for seed 1 - 3. I don't recall seeding ever being this unpredictable before.

How did you tear an achilles?

I wish I could say something cool, like that it happened in the middle of a furious game of pickup or in the course of saving someone from a burning building, but actually I just stood up with a dead leg and immediately turned my ankle twice in quick succession as I tried to get it back under me, before tripping on my nephew's toy truck and turning it again. It was audible and painful, and happened on my birthday. What a memory.

Hope it's healing well for you, man.

Yeah it's progressing alright thanks. Was the worst for the first two weeks or so when it was at its most painful and immobile.

Oh no. That?s not good. Hope you are feeling better brother. The Achilles is a tough one.

The guys have to be applauded for finishing strong. One more very important game. Take care of this and put behind all doubt. I take it Phoenix has the tiebreaker? We potentially need one more win to be safe methinks.

Fun fact: 4 of our current players are top 12 all time in Pelicans win shares.

Which tells you how historically thin the Pelicans have been on talent, but also how good our roster is.

6th all time - BI with 22.7 WS in 286 games
7th all time - Zion with 21.7 WS in 183 games
9th all time - JV with 20.3 WS in 234 games
12th all time - Herb with 15.1 WS in 219 games

Trey Murphy has 14.8 WS in 197 games, so he'll be in the top 12 next year assuming no injuries too.

The best Pelicans of all time are on the squad now.

    Edit:
    Top 5 for reference:

    1st - CP3 with 76.4 WS in 425 games
    2nd - AD with 72.0 WS in 466 games
3rd - David West with 47.0 WS in 530 games
4th - PJ Brown with 29.6 WS in 315 games
    5th - Jrue with 28.5 WS in 415 games

As an Aussie it's nice to see Dyson getting some recognition in local press:
